Before shite went down, Doug Davidson could have been a Jeff recast.

I don't want to see Doug Davidson or Martha Byrne anywhere on my screen again.

Agreed. I've always thought Noelle Beck is one of the most beautiful women ever on daytime.

Back in the day I was so against her but now? Let's give her the flowers.

It's totally impossible for me to get past Goutman's shoddy treatment of Martha Byrne to even given Beck a fair assessment & I know that. I didn't see her in Loving but I very much liked her in Cashmere Mafia.

I'm still here for Heather Rattray...

(to connect this to GH...hell, let's bring her out of retirement to play Heather Webber, and just say she had a poisoned funny bone leading to a face transplant)

lol Cyrus was the most obvious choice for killing Austin (along with Ava). I guess it's good they're at least putting that dangling plotline to rest.

I'm surprised they even bothered. A year and a half has passed. The historian comes through!

Considering the fact Adela sounds like a horrible mother no matter how many people pretend she wasn't-that's faint praise.

I have to admit I am in the dark about most of Adela's history beyond the origins (that she was abused and then pushed down the stairs and died). What all did they change with her?

Honestly, in what I've seen, Heather Rattray was an excellent Lily, and it's a damn shame daytime shut her out once she left.

Depending on how she looks, I do wonder how she'd work as Heather... although, I don't see the need for returning the role.

I can't stand Hennesy because of her MAGA roots. But Kin Shriner? He's MAGA??? I haven't seen that anywhere.

I think kicking out a 16 year old Sonny to stay with her abuser was pretty crappy.  Plus, giving Ric up entirely to Trevor wasn't solid either.  Idk, times were different back then, but it does seem like she chose her abusers over her children.   She was obviously a victim and it's sad, but I don't think she ever went above and beyond for either child and was more concerned about keeping a husband.  I just don't think she was a very good mother and the show portrays her as a saint.

Thanks. I have never cared about Sonny, so I only knew the bare bones. I appreciate the extra info.

No problem.  It's honestly just my opinion from reading between the lines through the years.  I am sure other people's mileage will vary on this.  It's hard when a character never appeared on the show and you only hear others rhapsodize about her after her death.
