Webmaster Errol Posted January 29 Webmaster Share Posted January 29 Nielsen announced on Tuesday that CBS’ broadcast of Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs was seen by 57.7 million viewers, making it the most-watched AFC title game since at least 1988, when the tracking service introduced its people meter system. Among Adults 18-49, the AFC Championship game pulled in a 14.8 rating, representing 19.850 million viewers within the key sales demographic. Meanwhile, among Women 18-49, the game attracted an 11.6 rating, of which 7.772 million fell in the demo. Overall, the game was the most-watched Conference Championship game since 2010 when 57.9 million viewers tuned into the Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints NFC Championship game on FOX. During the game, which concluded with the Chiefs taking home the AFC title against the Buffalo Bills (32-29), CBS aired a shortened version of the “Beyond the Gates” trailer, with viewers enticed to watch the extended cut online.
