In addition to ABC preempting “The View,” “GMA3: What You Need to Know” and “General Hospital,” CBS will also preempt its daytime lineup consisting of “The Price is Right,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Let’s Make a Deal” on Monday, January 20, due to special news coverage of the second inauguration President-elect Donald J. Trump.

Starting at 7:00 a.m. ET with a special edition of “CBS Mornings” anchored by Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson from Washington, D.C., CBS will deliver special all-day coverage of the presidential inauguration across all shows and platforms with Norah O’Donnell anchoring

At 9:00 a.m. ET, CBS will air “CBS News: The Presidential Inauguration of Donald Trump” anchored by Norah O’Donnell who will be joined by journalists John Dickerson, Maurice DuBois, Margaret Brennan, Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil, Nancy Cordes, Major Garrett, Robert Costa, Jan Crawford, Dr. Jon LaPook, Ed O’Keefe, Weijia Jiang, Kris Van Cleave, Nikole Killion, Scott MacFarlane, Caitlin Huey-Burns, Nancy Chen, Omar Villafranca, Kelly O’Grady, Nicole Sganga and Willie Inman.

Viewers can expect reports from around the country detailing how the new administration’s policies on the economy, inflation, safety and reproductive rights, among other areas, will impact everyday Americans. Special guests and CBS News contributors Douglas Brinkley, Joel Payne, Leslie Sanchez and Terry Sullivan will contribute analysis and historical context.

CBS News coverage is expected to continue until at least 5:00 p.m. ET and will be simulcast on CBS News 24/7, the network’s streaming news channel.

Major Garrett and Lindsey Reiser will anchor continuing coverage into the evening on CBS News 24/7 starting at 5:00 p.m. ET with the latest breaking news and reporting on the day’s events. 

In primetime, CBS will air “Inaguaruation Day in America: A CBS News Primetime Report anchored by John Dickerson, Maurice DuBois and Margaret Brennan with CBS News journalists sharing key moments from the inauguration with interviews, examining the state of the nation and illuminating the hopes of the American people as the new administration begins.

One day before Inauguration Day, “CBS News Sunday Morning” on Sunday, January 19, will feature a report from Robert Costa that looks ahead to the incoming administration led by President-elect Donald Trump. Meanwhile, “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan” will detail the first order of business for the new Trump administration and feature conversations with National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Kaine.

On Tuesday, January 21, CBS will resume airing all-new episodes of “The Price is Right,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Let’s Make a Deal.”
