Someone in critical condition at the hospital and everyone fighting about it reminds me so much of the Guza years. Willow/Joss was straight out of the Guza playbook, minus a slap to seal the deal of course!

Drew and Willow are just disgusting. The problem is everyone is against them, where do they possibly go from here? Nina is not enough to hang a future for Willow on. And now they made Michael a martyr. Who is going to want to watch these people?

I will give the show credit though- the explosion looked good, and the aftermath has been watchable. Steve and Laura are acting circles around MB though.

I think it's because despite Jaws being a hypocritical cheating banshee too and 2 things can be true at once, Wilted has already skated on doing this to Chase while he was on his death bed. She's already tried to put the blame on Sasha for her actions and Sasha said I think not bitch. Waffles is already on a pedestal despite being a serial hoe who hides being the wide doe eyed brain dead simp woe is me act. Whimpering, cries like she has no idea how she got in this position while thumbing her nose down at others. She's just like Cujo and Mini self righteous shrew but even more infantilize and sanitize. I'm just sorry it took her cheating on Michael for her to be knocked off her pedestal.

They already had Mykill making excuses for her. I don't feel sorry for him because how you get them is how you lose them, but I've no problem with his family or him making her life a living hell cause she's too stupid to live. Like her pea brain can't process 2+2=4 instead of 2+1≠4. Watch she blame Nina once the truth comes out about her & notdrew cause at the end of the day her though line is she's a smug simpering thot who can't take responsibility for her actions and life choices.

The Drew/Nina/Willow/Michael storyline had the makings of classic drama - so, of course, Frank & Co. had to mess it all up with their usual, simplistic writing.  Sigh.

I'm not sure but I think this is written in an entirely new language!!! Yes, it definitely derives from English but then it has influences I simply do not recognize. Fascinating, though! I know I'm making a thing out of all of these nicknames & fan jargon but it's all in fun. And, it has a rhythm to it. I'm not saying you could dance to it, but tap your feet, sure.

I still hate Cujo though. I remain unconvinced it's not a personal attack on the actor. Plus, I don't need any reminders of that particular horrifying Stevie King story. The other day I met a fan who didn't even get the reference! Yes, I do use the words Jarly & also Jarlified but the most derogatory was when I called him Drewfus, who is definitely not any more.

Good! Humor was its end goal.

I think before we were just quiet & a lot of people were LOUD about Joss. I know personally I always disagreed & thought the perspective of the relationship between Cam & Joss showed clearly it was damaged if not destroyed.

Anyway, we should have spoken up sooner. On that, like TJ, we don't get a pass.

Plus my opinion didn't feel attacked.

As much time as you spend on Twitter and Bluesky you should recognize Willow and Joss nicknames especially cause you defend both. But see it as making as much sense as your magical backstage insider information that you routinely spout as gospel when it's really just all in your head that you made up.

I know you ani't clutching your pearls over "a derogatory nickname for a fictional character" that has existed for while in the same breath leaking private medical information about a dying actor that you had no right to tell. The audacity

I have to tell you something funny. When I was younger on the board like 15 years ago, I could not understand your extreme pessimism but over the years I’ve watched so much bad writing it started to make sense and I now appreciate it

I was probably even worse than because that was the era that "Cartini," MAB, etc. were getting effusive praise. Sorry to anyone who had to read through all that.

I'm probably not as negative about current GH as I should be as I don't have the long history/emotional history with it the way I did with the P&G shows and I don't have a heavy dislike for the writers the way I did for Guza and Carlivati, but I can't deny the show is much more soulless now and you can see the lack of care in stories like this that on paper should be knockouts.

When DRW likes something on a modern soap it's hard-won - we don't always agree but he is too often right on the money. He's made me reconsider Sasha (sort of)!

I'm committing to nothing! She's still boring as hell.

My apt is apparently still fine and probably will stay that way. I am still back east in DC due to first the snow and now the fires, and enjoying it. But very concerned for others. It's been awful out west.

    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
    • Add Dr. Montgomery to list of fine women on this show! I hope the show goes forward with Madison/Chelsea and then once they're developed, bring back Allison, who is now divorced or a widow, for a Madison/Chelsea/Allison triangle.  It would definitely be the hottest triangle in daytime.
