If they play into the sleaze Cameron would be a good fit, as he was always best as Ryan when Ryan was allowed to be a bit dirty. He's never worked as a sympathetic figure - at least on soaps.

I have no idea. It might have to do with Bobbie's death, I don't know. Or the Mama Bear thing, which suits her very well. When I look at her now I see someone with Carly's life experiences and not Princess Cassie's.
She looks like someone you should be afraid of, not in a psychotic way, but like you wouldn't want to mess with her of her loved ones. She might shoot you.

Absolutely; it's very apparent in episodes that's what is going on. Even now, I still see [some] of Storms creeping into Maxie, but not as much as before. I look at Y&R and their new head costume designer, and she's doing a fantastic job dressing her entire cast. I wish GH had someone as passionate as her. But alas, we're not in luck.

Both Adrianne León & Briana Lane were dressed differently as Brook Lynn, and it's like night/day between their portrayals and Setton's.

León:

Setton:

Lane:

To me, Lane's styling mirrored León's, but in a more refined, mature adult way. Setton's looks like a cheap imitation from a MadTV parody.

This hasn't been stated anywhere.  Do you have a source?

Sofia Mattsson got pregnant several years ago, gave birth, and went on maternity leave from GH, and returned shortly thereafter.  First child born in 2021 (Link)
More recently, she gave birth to another child and took ZERO maternity leave from GH
Second child born in 2023 (Link)
I have heard NOTHING about her being pregnant a third time.

I just found this site which seems to have more concise and organized reports about the L.A. fires:
https://laist.com/news/climate-environment/sunset-hurst-palisades-eaton-woodley-tyler-fires

In addition to destroyed homes, at least one of each of these were destroyed:
church, mosque, synagogue, bank, museum, restaurant, school, supermarket, and more.

The thing for me is Guza and others already tried to recreate clink boom 500 times anyway to the point where the whole thing just made GH feel like a self-parody. I still cringe at the memory of those slo-mo shootouts - I think one may have even been set to a Christmas carol, although maybe I'm making that up. Anyway, I am not offended as much as I am surprised they are even trying that approach again.

I don't think you are.  I, too, recall one set to a Christmas Carol ("Silent Night," maybe?).

The thing is, you can execute a montage well only if you take the time to do it right - and as we all know, Frank "Point and Shoot" Valentini never takes time to do anything.  He's the wrong kind of producer for that kind of storytelling device.

The end credits montage for the clink boom episode has ended up being more effective to me, and you don’t actually see the damn explosion!

I guess I just like the shot of Brenda longingly staring off into the horizon before the glasses clink.

Oh good. Not just me then. I agree the execution is key. I do bitch about those years a lot but I know many of the montages were done with love and care. You don't have that now. The most positive thing I can say is I feel like Frank, the "historian" and CVE are floating around some potential new concepts due to so much falling through (or maybe network pressure in some cases, like the firings of some FOFs and returns of Lucky, Jason and Lulu), but the lack of genuine caring is still clear.

Thanks. I had never seen this. I miss real closing credits.

This is an episode where a beauty shot would have been ideal - maybe Jax and Brenda slow dancing or just looking at each other - but I don't think GH ever did those anyway.

I hadn't seen Clink Boom in so long I had forgotten it ended with that completely unnecessary Sonny scream.

    • Did I ever say that? I actually don't want to, but I have no problem doing so when I feel it's truly warranted. Case in point. I'll be more respectful about how you're involving yourself in these kind of discussions when you consider doing the same. Believe me when I tell you the way you attempt to dress up this attitude has placated no one, and this is not a minority forum opinion. It is easy enough, for example, to simply say that "I think many of us have underrated JFP's skills as a woman producer in an overly misogynistic industry". It's a lot easier than spending paragraph after paragraph amusedly shaking one's head while talking down to the clueless proles of SON about their blinkered, reductive opinions. And yes, I am saying that many of us have spoken up crediting Phelps for the skills she obviously has as a technical whiz and line producer. There's nothing out of turn about acknowledging that many posters know where she excelled. Or talking about where she clearly (for many of us) didn't. You don't have to agree, but you could try listening to someone other than yourself.
    • It’s a recurring tension in Daytime: the willingness to take risks can fuel a show's longevity, but the actresses themselves often bear the long-term consequences of audience backlash.
    • I pray Eva never lets Dana back into her life, because she deserves better. Dana isn't a mother, nor is she a parent.
    • Daphnee's performance very much reminded me of Anna Holbrook's on Another World when Sharlene was dealing with John and Felicia's affair. Angry but well controlled and believable. A good start for an Emmy reel. If there is one thing an evil Black mother is going to do, it is lock you out the house. Eva shouldn't have even bothered to go home.  Leslie calling Martin "Mr. President" was interesting. How much exactly does she know about the family and has someone higher up sent her to cause trouble? Anita's speech to Leslie was dignified like Geraldine Whitney (EON) or Kim Hughes (ATWT) would have gone off on somebody.
    • Thanks for posting this, fascinating read. It's clear how ambivalent Wyndham is about Justine. IMO, it reads like she agrees that the end of the storyline was bad, but reading between the lines I think she thought she was doing good work for the meat of it....which was not the case. As bad as the writing for most of that story was, it was truly made worse by her embarrassing performance. After the story concluded she kept falling back into Justine ticks, when she wasn't phoning he scenes in. Not to play Freud, but was it to tr*ll her critics?
    • I better hear "The Emmy goes to Ambyr Michelle" come Emmy time lol
