Usher's guest appearance on B&B. He slept with Amber, casting the paternity of her child into doubt. Not knowing what race the baby would be, she went home to death valley for a home birth, had a stillborn, stole cousin Becky's baby, and that eventually brought baby daddy Deacon to town, kicking off decades of story and spawning the character of Hope Logan.

Yup!

Nina Averson stunned me as a kid, and was a huge reason why I followed Y&R especially closely during that era. She was so perfectly cast as Cassandra. She was only on for just over 3 years, but I remember feeling really sad when Cassandra was killed off, lol.

The three women in this picture were the most beautiful on the show at the time. Honorable mention to early 90s Lauren & Tracy.

Cassaundra was an old school Hollywood type beauty. She had this mysteriousness and glamor about her. Nina Arvesen reminds me of Brenda Epperson in the face. I love the gas lighting scenes during the George Rollins murder storyline. Peak Y&R. 1989-92 was a particularly strong time for the show. She should have lasted longer.

Mary Jo Mason had a similar mystery about her.

Add to the list...Veronica Landers Y&R

I always mention her lol. Because Veronica shot Nikki Victor divorce Diane to be with Nikki again, turning Diane into a villain.

It also lead Diane to try and steal Victor's sperm which helps set off the sperm gate fiasco... Which resulted in the births of Kyle and Abby.

It also played a role in Diane casting her vote against Victor in the hostile takeover of Newman enterprises.

Cassandra Rawlins for Y&R, if only because her house set lingered on for like 2 decades on the show after her demise.

I also feel like her story was a huge reason why Y&R took the #1 ratings lead outright as it coincided with it.

She was the Mari Jo Mason of the 80s.

Sultry, confident, and a grey character.

It reminds me that the Bell shows were a sea of blondes in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Y&R had MTS, LLB, Barbara Crampton, Nina Arvesen, Brenda Epperson. B&B had Joanna Johnson, KKL, Teri Ann Linn.

Based solely on looks, Nina Arvesen could have replaced Brenda Epperson as Ashley instead of Sherry Shattuck.

Arveson eerily resembles Nicole Brown Simpson.
