LMAOOOOOO I had to Google it:

Broken heart syndrome, also known as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or stress cardiomyopathy, is a temporary heart condition that is often triggered by extreme emotional or physical stress. This condition leads to a sudden weakening of the heart’s main pumping chamber, the left ventricle.

Symptoms

  • Sudden chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Cold sweats
  • Lightheadedness

Causes

  • Severe emotional stress (e.g., loss of a loved one, intense fear)
  • Physical stress (e.g., surgery, serious illness)
  • Sudden drop in blood pressure
  • Domestic violence
  • Asthma attack

Treatment

I have it!

The only way to cure it is to meet Chandler Massey!😂

I can also be cured by seeing Chandler back on Days or BTS permanently!😊

Crew Morrow is doing a good job as Will, although I am having a hard time picturing him doing any work at all as an intern at Forrester.

I realize that no one at Forrester really does much, though.

P.S. Hope is such a hoebag.

And it's such a fake-ass writing. So absurd. When Brooke was doing this, I believed it... when Hope is trying to do it, I just cringe.

All he does is flirt with the models.

Another boring show today.

It was boring. Let's face it. Would a guy who looks like Will have to intern at a fashion company to get attention from girls? He acts like he's never been around a hot girl before.

The least they could do is have some gay guys working there eyeing Will up and down. THAT would be realistic. But yeah, I know that in Brad Bell's fashion world, there is no gay except for a flaming wedding planner every few years.

We think alike.

I was just going to post something close to this.

You need evidence as to why daytime soaps are failing and losing viewers?

Netflix has a Top 10 series like Heartstopper with LGBTQ+ teenage characters leading the show, and a network soap about a FASHION HOUSE is afraid to have a single gay character.

It's insane, and it's operating out of FEAR of losing blue-haired grandmas who don't know how to use their remotes.

Even Y&R is better, though I hesitate giving them any praise. We get Tessa and Mariah, but they have no storyline, and it's clear that Y&R is deathly afraid of showing gay males.

@ranger1rg Yeah, the average viewer age of the 3 current soaps is close to 70yo.

Soaps lost the younger demographic two decades ago.

In early 2000s it was 35! It's a different form of SORAS!

Maybe a BTG will bring in some new (younger) viewers, but it's doubtful.

I agree that the average viewer of soaps is over 60. I do not think it was 35 in the early 2000s.

@ranger1rg Yeah, I fact checked the article that made the 35 claim. It's shaky. I'd bet it was in the upper 40s.

In January Deadline published the following: 'The GH average viewer age is up 4 percent from 65.6 to 68.1; Y&R is up 1 percent from 69.6* to 68.7 , and B&B is up 2 percent from 68.2 to 69.4.'

Y&R's base number is off. The original article has not been updated. Regardless, they were far higher than I imagined. OC, if you included streaming viewers like me ... it'd drop a bit.

Bottom line: is that it does impact what stories the shows can tell.

Taylor after Ridge marries her.

My friend and I are both off on Mondays, the only day we catch the show. She texted me last week, "What's going on with heart Faylor?" and I damn near choked.

🤣 Heart Faylor is iconic.

BTW - I watched yesterday's episode and I'm getting kinda irked by the way Will is written. It's just strange and bizarre and he is not talking or acting like a young man his age. They are writing him like it's some kind of naive character like Hope Logan or something. Acting so dorky with these random models, like he hasn't seen a girl so pretty in his life. Who talks like that? Who says Sweet! when they invite themselves to some girl's table like that. Is this supposed to be a cool, rich-boy heir to the Spencer legacy... or a dork that hasn't left his room playing video games? Once again Bradley Bell struggling to find a proper way to write in a NEW character. It's giving me early RJ vibes to how confused everything is. Why isn't he some type of antagonist or just... a rebel that hates his whole family - starting with the Whore Brooke who f-cked his father when he was a baby. I'm kinda DONE with these vanilla safe-character types. Kinda bored with it. And a cute face doesn't help me at all. I'm not watching soap operas for cute faces or bodies. Once again the problem is not the actor - he is quite charming and HAS more talent than some of the Emmy nominated actors on the show, actually. But... it's just so boring. I don't want to see another RJ for the next 6 months.

And Brooke/Bill - Taylor/Ridge - how more basic can this get? Isn't Brooke tired of these used-up whore-men? She's had them, married them, gotten pregnant by them... isn't it time to move on? By the time Brooke realizes she needs to do something new... she'll be 70. Girl, the lingerie will only take you so far.

Overall, the show has gotten so stale and so boring, only the dying Eric period can rival it in terms of how boring it is.

And once again - where is the power struggle between Steffy and Brooke?  Why isn't the Bedroom line walking on the runway? It would have been so iconic to have Brooke actually walk on the runway and have some type of failure and critics to start writing that she's a has-been and etc... and that could have spiraled her out of control. It would have been so much more interesting than this... Brooke is the most beautiful woman in the world... any age, any time... boring crap. Also... Why isn't Brooke doing SOMETHING for the company instead of asking people how they are and smiling?  WTF, Bradley. DO SOMETHING WITH THESE CHARACTERS!

P.S Carter needs to do an STD test after he sleeps with Hope. She's so irresponsible. Just in the last year, she's been in love with every guy that talked to her.

The Carter - Hope relationship is completely inappropriate. Carter is in a position of power as COO, Hope is not. Carter is in a position to make decisions that can impact Hope's line. They just demonstrated that with Carter reworking the figures - coincidentally now that Carter is interested in Hope, they're *now* favorable.

And not only that... they are once again using Carter only for a sex-leading-lady-prop in this show. It's quite disturbing and disgusting that Bradley Bell thinks it's okay to do this time and time again. Carter is so underused and so... underappreciated in this show. Now they are once again using him and he will be dropped in no time. I can't stand it.

Looking forward to seeing some fine BLACK men who aren’t just walking torsos trotted out for an occasional fetishistic jolt like Carter on B&B or similarly poorly developed,

AMEN. I am quoting this here, because I didn't want to follow this on in the BTG topic.
