I hate this show so so much!!!

I hate that Thudley now thinks JMW and Steffy is the second coming of Susan Flannery and the constant agenda towards destroying Hopes character!!!!

I don't even think the show in it's current miserable state deserves hate. It's too pathetic and horribly written to be taken that seriously. But I get where you are coming from.  I like both JMW and AN as actresses (and I can clearly differentiate between reel and real... when some people can't, bless their hearts), but their characters are so disappointing lately. That's the word. Disappointing. I agree with you that the purposed effect of similarity between Steffy and Stephanie... is not working. Steffy is far from Stephanie and most of the time anything she says (moral judgements, criticizing, meddling, controlling)... falls flat because of lack of prior characterization, history and psychological motives. Steffy was never this sour-faced-matron-bully-copy-of-her-grandma. She used to be a lot more fresh and dynamic. She used to be FUN.  Bradley is giving her lines that I could only buy if they came from a 65+ matriarch.  And Hope... in her current era... is a parody, a boring G-rated (for all audiences) version of Brooke.  She used to be a lot more interesting...  What Annika's been given these past 2 years is sad. The fact that she is still making it work is amazing. Both actresses are amazing. But at this point... where are we heading? Does anyone know? Does Bradley Bell even know? I doubt it. And it shows.

The show is just... like a floating ship without an engine. Some things stick... some don't. New characters come in and out without any significance... random twists and turns lead to nowhere. And in the end... we are still going back to the most boring and repetitive scenes and conflicts. We are still debating HFTF and if Ridge will pick Taylor over Brooke.

I need something to HAPPEN. This show used to be a guilty pleasure - a 20 minutes of cheap absurd storylines that can make you laugh... with the occasional cute and iconic scene. What it has become is... quite frankly - dead.

I will never stop praying that one day we get a new head writer. People are going to say it will never happen. But in this life... everything can happen. Absolutely everything.

Just cut HFTF already and let Hope, Carter & Brooke either buy it out and/or start a new company. Hope/Steffy confrontations are getting so stale because it's happening every week in either of the 2 FC sets. Carter & Steffy's conflict over the direction of the company wont go anywhere either. Brooke becoming co-CEO has been a big fat nothingburger too. She can kiss Ridge after recapping other people's stories at home.

Let Steffy have tension with Ridge & Eric for a while. She's the CEO but they went over her head to restart the jewellery line. There's a generational conflict to be mined there - why not flip the script have her be uneasy allies with Ivy for a bit.

Haha, I’m definitely going overboard but yes my main beef is always how Steffy even when she was more “immature”  in the past was always being a judge-mental shrew against the Logan’s…..Thudley has never allowed the proper clap backs and self awareness to be made by anyone in regards to Steffys character, and that’s where the problem lies and if things were different I’d think I’d somewhat enjoy what was happening now with “Hope being turned into her mother”, but I just can’t with Steffys hypocrisy anymore……when is it gonna be brought up about her going after Oliver when he was dating Hope?, or using her sexuality to drive Bill away from Katie, or deciding she had to have Liam for  herself, and basically helped create that dreaded triangle after she watched her own mom be humiliated by her father and Brooke all those years….its not good story telling for Thudley to just be like: “I’m gonna turn Steffy into her grandmother because we need that matriarch figure through she’s still pushing 40, she’s the perfect predecessor!”

I know it’s nothing new for Thudley just to go on the whim with this stuff but it’s just gotta so bad, I can’t take it anymore…..

I know Y&R tried to do this with Jack/Ashley not too long ago, but I’m so tired of Steffy at this point I just want B&B to go there with the “blood Forrester clause” story that pushes Ridge, Steffy and RJ out because they aren’t Forresters by blood.

I'm still creeped out Brooke has a child out there that was made with her EGG that she is not even mentioning EXIST.

I saw a few minutes, and was Tanner Novlan wearing a bad piece?  There was no part and it was noticeably longer and not moving.  But I only see bits once in a while so maybe he’s been on regularly and his hair is longer?  Looked like a piece.

I’d use this as an opportunity for Steffy to exert power, Ridge dives into Taylor, they ditch Carter’s idea and berate him, HFTF is axed.

Carter and Hope find solace in each other, and Carter gets a call returned - from Genoa City.  Only it’s Sally Specta.  Something could be brewing with a former brand and name - since Forrester doesn’t want the idea.  They also discover the HFTF copyright expired, Forrester rarely retires a brand to worry about protecting a name of a failed brand.   Carter and Hope and Sally form the new Spectra; maybe some faces from the past, as Carter also schmoozes the Abbot clan because why not bring Spectra back with a bang.  Be the brand all the way around - kick it off all together - fragrance, gowns, cruise wear, casual wear in Hope for the Future;  Liam continues to sniff around and in hoping to win Hope back, focuses all Spencer media coverage on Hope for the Future and the return of Spectra.    I could go on and on.  Quinn returns to LA in hopes of rejoining Forrester, but finds Donna has truly supplanted her with Eric, he’s committed to her;  Ivy is now the Golden Child of the jewelry line but it’s only going so-so.  After some other tiffs and conflict, Carter is reminded that Quinn was talented; hire her at Spectra; but Hope of course balks because of their history.

Finn grows weary of Steffy’s obsession with Hope, Carter, the new Spectra, and finds himself drowning his sorrows more than usual.  Wonder who he could meet at an AA meeting if he goes - just to see what one is about?  Wonder who shows up because she finds out he’s going to AA?  Brooke helps counsel the young, ignored Doctor, leading to an affair.

Just put this show out of its misery.

I don't like seeing people lose their jobs, but this show is so bad it's not even fun to make fun of anymore. Brad Bell has absolutely no creativity left and he's ruining this show and destroying whatever legacy it still has.

Sarapa nailed it on the BOLD couples.

This show....they really think we're excited because they did a Halloween thing to the credits and music and decorated Deacon's pizza dive for the holiday? And had Sheila bake toe cookies -- and act as if that was a cool thing to do?

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.
