Seems Murphy and Netflix will get the credit for these brothers to be resentenced and released from prison after 35 years. RME  Mark Garagos just held a presser and now the LA DA will no doubt recommend the resentencing to manslaughter and they will be out of prison immediately with time served.

A couple of issues from today's press conference by DA Gascon about the decision to recommend resentencing that will probably be lost in the national press accounts.

Firstly, the process began a year ago.  And it is one of 28 resentencing recommendations that his office has made this year.

Second, he rather beautifully said that there is a bias against believing victims of sexual assault.  And if the media scrutiny of this case allows victims to be heard and seek justice, then it will have served its purpose.

The movie is still either #1 or #2 depending on the week. So many are still viewing it.

The DA didn't mention the series if I remember, but did mention the new evidence revealed in Netflix's documentary, The Menendez Brothers, contributed to the decision.

I think it has more to do with a DA who is facing poor prospects of re-election (unfairly IMHO), than Ryan Murphy.

It will be interesting to see what happens once this goes before a judge, if we elect a new DA in Los Angeles.  There are already rumblings that the Beverly Hills Police Department is unhappy that they were not consulted on the decision.

Well, it was being proposed today, so hoping we hear continued news at some point this late afternoon (eastern time).

I kinda loved it when Garagos said "If they were the Menedez sisters, they would not have received this life sentence".

And he did not lie; even in today's society, people don't believe men can be abused, raped and falsely accused of things, and they can.

Didn't know where to post this.

Cooper Koch appeared with his brother Payton on the Drew Barrymore Show. His brother is gay too. I don't know if it was a new episode or if this part was edited out of his visit a while back.
