Yeah. I agree. Like wasn't there one time where Anthony Geary was gone for months, but you would not notice it on screen story-wise because he pre-taped so much material? He was NEVER off screen. lol. Given we have not seen Laura or Kevin at all and now Lucky has been moved to a NEW location AND Jason and Anna have shown up...it is definitely fragmented.

And don't even mention how stories would vanish and abruptly reappear...cuz I am not looking forward to seeing that again. Yet, here comes the Heather storyline which actually did vanish for a bit, the Joss/Kristina rivalry that Molly appears to be about to snatch up, and the Cody/Dante past mystery (since we can't have the Dante/Chase friendship anymore) that has drowned out at the Q mansion given it has not been touched on since that one stray scene he had with Sam years ago.

I let episodes pile up during the DirectTV dispute and lost a lot of my enthusiasm to watch but I caught up on everything today before Hulu could purge.

Loved all the Davis girl drama with Alexis getting clink clinked for Sonny killing Jagger. Lindsay Hartley is a massive upgrade as Sam onscreen, she did more in three days than Kelly Monaco has since I tuned back in this last year or so. Loved her scenes confronting Michael and talking about Jason and Lucky being deadbeats with Elizabeth and Danny overhearing. Sam preparing to take a deep dive to prove Alexis innocence had me

they aren’t being subtle with where this story is going at all and I had to laugh at them having Lindsay play the set up for it. Frank was definitely trolling Monaco at this point BTS

Molly’s scenes venting to Dex at the bar today were more good work from K Vaganos. Kristina and Felicia’s counseling session last week also had nice performances from Mansi and K Wagner, though I still want somebody to smack Kristina every time she calls baby Irene Adela I’m glad her PTSD was finally addressed on screen. I also really loved the Molly and Kristina office confrontation that aired in contrast with the amazing Sonny and Ric face off at Ava’s gallery. Rick Hearst really made Maurice Bernard level up and Maura West lurking in the background was chefs kiss.

I’m glad the show has finally started using Becky Herbst for real, loved Liz friend-zoning Ric. Lucky hallucinating Liz reading him the riot act for abandoning their family was absolutely the best scene of his return so far. The poker playing with Sidwell has gotten old real fast and while I’m enjoying Anna and Jason teaming up and Holly trolling around, I hope this Save Our Spencers adventure wraps up by the end of the week and everyone gets back to Port Charles.

I love Carly’s renewed Spencer family interest and yearning to repair her relationship with Lulu. Jack and Carly are still a fun pairing as well and Josslyn giving her mama hell for protecting Sonny again has been excellent.

Jordan has also gotten a lot of airtime with this protect Isaiah crusade and I’m not mad even though the actress is still very much robotic. She and Isaiah have okay chemistry, loved her running Cyrus out of his room and I like her better in this more active role as opposed to the useless deputy mayor stuff or having to entertain Stephen A during his Disney contract pop ups.

Super happy Stella got Trina to go back to school and I support Portia switching Heather’s lab results to keep her kooky ass in jail, hope she gets away with it and Brad takes the fall.

This rebooted writing regime has made me lose interest in the Nina/Drew/Willow/Michael quad. Willow’s constant angst bores me, Drew comes off like a creep and Nina and Michael are just kind of pathetic. The heat and intrigue is all gone because of the slowness and lack of sex.

I still don’t give a damn about anything Sasha and Cody got going on either and Tracy deserves better than to have to prop them.

Frank V is really determined to make something shake with Gio but he’s still a bore though I do love his dynamic with Lois. Him, Trina and Joss are just way too goody goody man, bring Emma on as a bitch, recast Spencer and Cam or call Maurice Bernard’s son back and let him be the moody trainwreck of the group and get something interesting going. No early 20s set should be so boring.

The show is still decent overall but I’m not as enthused by some of the story direction post Jagger’s killing which has made it easier to let episode viewing get delayed for me. They still got my viewership locked in for this Spencer family resurgence though

Well, it was made clear during yesterday's episode, per Elizabeth, that Steven wants nothing to do with Heather and it is why he didn't come back to Port Charles. But Terry kept hinting about what he'd do for work and should be in the medical field, all after she & Portia kept talking about how some sectors of General Hospital are under-staffed.

This was Day 31 since Blaze has been gone, also no mention of her till today. BUT, there is a problem. The day she left they agreed to one thing: that they would stay in touch. Nothing else. Only that. So, what the puck was that about today?!!!

And, here is that scene. Ali even said something about finally getting a win, after they said "Deal." You'll see.

I'm not as concerned with the lack of beard but why did he get that awful haircut?!!

I have learned something new. Previously I had been told that Patrick walked, that he was not fired. Well, at the SB Reunion he said that in fact he was fired. Also said that no, the network had not interfered with his writing. And, another person confirms that he was let go at the end of his contract cycle. Also adding that he was a really fine writer but he just couldn't write for a show as big as GH is. And that the network really loves this big rotating cast.

I was SHOCKED, I tell you. Imagine that Disney gives a hoot about the size, and rotation, of the cast of its remaining soap opera. I really cannot imagine that! Disney wants GH to have 60 effing people. What are we to think when we think 15 should be cut?

And, it is funny, by that I mean odd. I get that the writers of the show get to make up rules they follow, also that they don't follow. But, in a case like today, where Kristina & Blaze made an agreement & now the show just wants to forget that. Is that in any way fair?

    • I’ve been enjoying the pace the show has taken recently. Things don’t languish as long as they have and if they are drawing something out, like Gio’s adoption, it’s hasn’t been as excruciating. Also, my nosey nature would appreciate less interaction with posters I have on ignore so I don’t have to click on “options”.

    • Okay...I'm just going to call it. Ambyr Michelle is the breakout star of this show with the young set hands down! There is no character like Eva that pulls my heart strings, and she's playing it perfectly. If Eva and Leslie are on, it's a good episode! If written properly, Eva and Kat's rivalry is one that could go on for YEARS. Of course, it's fun to speculate about who is really whom, but I could see them developing as frenemies after some time. They really need a guy to tussle over to amp it up. Tomas is pretty, but the actor has got to loosen up some in his scenes, I think. He is improving though. It would be good to introduce a new young man in that story for a foursome.  Martin and Smitty finally feel like a real couple to me, too. Hopefully, they locked them into four year contracts.
    • I'll be that guy and say I don't think TMG is a fool. This is a popular contract role on a year-round soap opera for a woman of a certain age (to say nothing of a woman of color). If I'm her I pull a Kimberlin Brown and ride this til the wheels fall off.
    • Tbf it's not unusual for a family when they are dealing with some bad news that changes a life to use song to give out hope.Especially black families. I personally had to deal with that very thing this weekend. Partly off putting, but at the same time, I did get the point and it gave me a bit of hope in the moment.      MM is definitely acting. But Smitty is just so passive. It could turn into quiet strength at some point, but for now...passive IMO.
    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
