Looks like she's part of the budget slashes. Even NL was only made recurring when she returned. BTW now there is talk that Leyla might not die afterall. So I guess it's hurry up and wait, believe what you want but nothing is sure except what appears on screen. We know the Q's are involved. After that we 'know' squat. (Oh, just heard an interesting statistic. $1 million in trade crosses the border between Canada and the US EVERY MINUTE.) Claire made a statement to her fans at her Official message board this evening. Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I've stopped by... I sort of figured this was coming, but wanted to be absolutely certain until I relayed the news. I have been taken off contract, effective February 8. It's a mutual decision; I completely understand the stresses of the producers and writers and the Nadine storyline seemed to coming to a close. I won't be exploding in a ball of hospital flames, but you probably won't see me much around the hospital, either. Tough times in the economy, Port Charles included! Jill Phelps has been incredibly supportive and I have nothing but respect and reverence for my time at GH. Thank YOU ALL for your support. Signing off, Claire Another one bites the dust. At least it is not a Q. My theory--Ethan is Dante. Here are my reasons: Totally look just like david lago and Tom Pelphrey who they wanted for the role Guza had luke/dante lumped into one preview of we'll meet Dante/luke will meet a mysterious drifter I think they are going recurring at first to judget the popularity of this newbie actor...if he is received well and can go toe to toe and hold his own with TG, then they will know he has some charm I think he is slated to be the next lead...BB was very much thrown in that role and has shown he doens't have the screen presence. I think LUke will be distracted like the previews say by this guy....then will realize in a couple weeks what is going on at the hospital crisis and be there for whoever. Either way TG's continued presence is obvious. He's not going anywhere. I'm not sure what to think about Tracy, but I'm still not giving up hope that she's ill and Luke rushes to her side. They don't seem to arrive anywhere as a couple, which might speak to either the writer's laziness or the writer's understanding that they are both independent characters. In fact LnL2's second wedding is the only time I can remember they actually showed up at an event together. So far we haven't seen anything to say she doesn't get sick, and this stranger was supposed to distract Luke from the hospital do, which is now happening. That's scary about Michael. It's times like this that I'm grateful my Michael works for the government. Between this and hearing that Stephen Macht is off the show (with Trevor going bye bye), I am cursing TIIC's names..... Both actors are so very sweet. Saw them both on the red carpet for the emmy's and was very impressed by how much they love their fans and appreciate the support they get And Tracy may NOT be getting sick?
