CBS, Justin Hartley, Tracker, #Tracker

Concluding its inaugural season on Sunday, May 19, CBS’ “Tracker” has formally emerged as the #1 non-sports program on all of television for the 2023-2024 season, Nielsen reported on Wednesday.

Averaging 11.58 million viewers when factoring in Live+7 days of viewing, “Tracker” now ranks as the first new series since the 2000 launch of “Survivor” to rank as the #1 non-sports show. The series has amassed 81.6 million viewers since its February debut. On average, the show is adding +3.4 million viewers over its Live+Same Day average, attracting more DVR playback than any other primetime series.

In addition to being the #1 non-sports show of the season, “Tracker” is also the most-watched new series launch among Total Viewers since the debut of “Desperate Housewives” during the 2004-2005 television season – the ABC series averaged 23.7 million viewers.

When factoring in multiplatform viewing, “Tracker” averages 19 million viewers in Live+35 (the first seven episodes). The viewership sees the CBS drama attract more viewers than several recent streaming successes, such as Netflix’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (15.5 million), “Baby Reindeer” (12.8 million) and “3 Body Problem” (11.0 million).

Since the 2016-2017 television season, CBS has consistently launched the #1 new series each season, starting with “Bull” (2016-2017), “Young Sheldon” (2017-2018), “FBI” (2018-2019), “FBI: Most Wanted” (2019-2020), “The Equalizer” (2020-2021), “Ghosts” (2021-2022), “Fire Country” (2022-2023) and now “Tracker” (2023-2024).

Source: Nielsen, Most Current Data. Reach figures based on 1+ Minute qualifier includes across linear and streaming. Multiplatform data includes 35 days of viewing through 03/31/24. Streaming based on Internal Data and includes co-view factor for CTV viewing.
