Webmaster Errol Posted May 18, 2024 Webmaster Share Posted May 18, 2024 Making his first appearance on the Wednesday, May 15 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” actor Giovanni Mazza is officially on contract at the daytime drama series where he portrays Giovanni Palmieri, Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) cousin who played the violin during her nuptials to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). According to Friday’s closing credits, Mazza is the latest actor to join the show’s contract cast list, which includes 33 actors. The show also retains several additional actors who appear in a recurring capacity. Two other actors who joined the show this year and whose names appear before Mazza on the contract list are Adam J. Harrington (John Cates) and Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). While Harrington is a newcomer to daytime, his character originally appeared on the show as recently as 1995, when portrayed by Antonio Sabato Jr. Meanwhile, Burton returned to the series after he was let go in November 2021 due to Disney’s (owner of ABC) since-vacated vaccine mandate. News of Burton's return to the show was first revealed in early January during a promo aired at the conclusion of the primetime special “General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling,” celebrating the show’s milestone anniversary. Burton first aired on the Monday, March 4 episode. With “General Hospital” listing its contract actors primarily in the order in which they signed their contracts, the most veteran members on the list are Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber), Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) and Laura Wright (Carly Spencer). Mazza is an experienced violinist and actor who has appeared in episodes of “Chicago Fire” and “Bella and the Bulldogs,” among other credits. In 2021, Mazza appeared on the short-lived FOX competition series “Game of Talents,” hosted by Wayne Brady (“Let’s Make a Deal”), which had contestants guessing the hidden talents of performers based exclusively on first impressions and with minimal clues provided. Members BrendaB
While I like Lois-related family coming on the show this is unnecessary. They need to cast female teens for Elizabeth's boys.
