That POS got exactly what he deserved today and I couldn’t be happier. There’s nothing better than when an awful character finally pays for their awful behavior. Now, if only GH would make their awful character pay for her awful behavior.

And hopefully, this’ll be the end of this gross, cruel and just horribly bad storyline. I just hope Uncle Ron’s not angry about this because when he gets angry, the writing suffers.

As for Johnny and Chanel, I actually didn’t expect what we found out today and I don’t mind it. Maybe this’ll make Paulina vs. EJ watchable.

And, I also like that Eric/Nicole are both gonna be working at the Spectator. Maybe the writers should have done something like that a few months ago, but I’m looking forward to what may happen.

I got behind on DAYS. Kept trying to catch up. Failing. I've watched 3 episodes of April. So I've decided, Screw April! I'm starting fresh today, with May.

I have a question for you. Is there any particular episode I should watch having to do with Horton House?

Besides that, if you were me, is there any other specific April episode that you would watch?

Please and thank you!

Only Dimitri could find true love in the slammer.

I love that Leo got a Dear John letter. That's a start.

Love EJ's assistant.

There's no sense of urgency at The Spectator.  I get that it is the same day all week, but Chad interviewed Paulina, now Nicole is going to write the story, after she settles in and flirts with Eric.  I mean, if they have this big story about the Mayor misusing her power, there should be momentum about wanted to get it out ASAP.

Also, I understand structurally that Leo needs more motive to spill his story to EJ, but Dimitri's release is ridiculous.  His whole story was tied to his inheritance, and now that he's released, he's no longer going to pursue it?  Come on...  His release merits at least a mention of Gwen living in Alamania.

I hope Chanel's sitch means that Johnny's going to need to step up and save Sweet Bites (or is it Bits?).  He needs a purpose.

Also, liking EJ's assistant.  DAYS has a good history of comedic characters, and EJ requires someone who is likable to soften the character a bit.  I don't know anyone like her in real life in 2024, but it is TV, so I will give her a pass.

Do you think maybe I overdid it on the celebrating?

One of the (many) reasons why I thought the storyline was awful; Dimitri’s inheritance was all anyone talked about for months, and then it was just discarded like it meant nothing?

Just a throwaway line from Dimitri, “I lost my inheritance. Oh well”

That’s not how stories work lol

Whoa....this show gets worse all the time.

The Dear John letter from Dimitri? Jesus. Janet Spellman-Drucker must be taking EP memos on "How to Make a Wrecked Soap Even More Wrecked."

And you know your soap is in trouble when Paulina is played 5x a week.

Still cannot believe E.J. is the DA when he literally took Sami hostage and raped her at gunpoint in the passenger seat of his car on the side of the road over the holidays. E.J.!

    • I am interested to see how they handle Leslie/Dana down the road. If she continues in this path, it would be unrealistic to have her around. Like other shows have done this with a 'villian' character and ended up with people looking stupid putting up with someone they detest. Another thought-could they be building up to a murder story? Maybe Les/Dan will be left in a coma and we will have a whodunit with several characters as suspect. It would also be a chance to redeem her I wonder how long the show will go w/o resorting to soap cliche stories-twins,switched at birth, murder mystery, long lost child etc
    • Yeah, Martin really did make me laugh when him and Smitty jumped up to drag Leslie out. I am interested in seeing how this fallout will impact his storyline as well. Especially since he is so protective regarding his family/family's image. I am interested in seeing how he will interact with Eva for the time being, they did have a warmer interaction earlier on once they met. But he seems to have doubts about her possibly being Ted's right now. I wonder how long it might take for him to come around with her. I could see the younger generation warming up to her quicker than the older ones. Though of course I think there will be anger/tension for a while regarding the reveal and her role in it. Perhaps Naomi/Chelsea will ease up on Eva first then eventually Martin/Kat might down the line. I really do love Nicole. I'm glad that DD is playing her. She really is the heart of the family and also agree the show. She is so easy to root for and I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for her. I am enjoying the development of most of the characters on this show. I enjoy most of them including Bill with his trifling self lol. I do feel that Bill's love for his daughters is genuine and that gives him some depth. A few of the characters I don't care for that much (like Bill, Ashley, Vanessa). I wasn't too big on Andre at first, but I am warming up more to him as the actor is settling into the role. I like most of the characters on this show. Also, I am interested in seeing what happens if Eva indeed goes and lives with the new doctor that was introduced. I could see this adding another layer to her story, maybe she will become more vixen-ish, on what type of relationship they end up having. And/or maybe she will end up becoming more hardened as she deals with being an outcast, especially if she falls out with Leslie as well. I think that AM will do a good job of showcasing the different layers of this character as she deals with the fallout of the affair/paternity reveal.

Got another sad news from the Bahamian community (not a celebrity)  https://www.instagram.com/p/DJMSrYCgyes/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Former Bahamian Senate President J Henry Bostwick, Husband of former 1st Bahamian Female Cabinet Minister Dame Janet Bostwick is dead yesterday on his 86th birthday.    Thanks and for those who've aren't familiar with the talk shows in The Bahamas on this thread here, his talk show named The Freedom March with Dr Rodney Moncur that airs on ILTV and The Beat 103.5 FM Nassau every weekday afternoons. IIRC, he suffered a illness before he died.  Here's the link for his final taping of the show before his death: https://ewnews.com/this-is-powerful-rodney-moncurs-final-sign-off/

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
    • I know we have discussed the fact that Another World seemed to be planning a location shoot in Finland that got cancelled. I came across this item from the syndicated Soapbox column published June 14, 1982. "Soap operas have been experimenting extensively with on-location shooting in recent years to enhance storylines and increase their viewing audience. A major drawback is the added production costs involved. Another World, for example, cancelled a special trip for Victoria Wyndham (Rachel Cory on the show), who was scheduled to shoot scenes in Finland. The producers felt that the high price tag, along with resentment of the cast members who also wanted to travel but were to be left behind. was enough to scrap the whole project."
