So that confirms that she's still living in New York.  From the caption of Cady's IG post
"Headed back to NYC today after a beautiful week of work (can’t share about it yet, but soon!). It is a strange and remarkable time. My soul is the driver but damn if shes not one wild child! Grateful for the work and for friends who keep texting and for students who keep learning, keep reaching, keep trying… and to keep being a student myself! It never ends."
-- That sounds like she's still living in New York and still has students.  But she apparently just worked a week at BTG?

Based on your follow up post on her Instagram posts, this is clearly Atlanta. As a New Yorker, I couldn't even place the area. Plus, being that she's been in New York for a number of years, doing stage work along with All My Children and As The World Turns, her comment on being in a "welcoming city," screams new location (i.e. Atlanta for Beyond the Gates).

Right. The cast aren't required to live in Atlanta. That might have been the initial requirement, or an expectation if the show is receiving a tax credit from the state of Georgia, but many people, including Tamara Tunie, do not exclusively live in Atlanta. Many of the well-known veterans continue living and working in New York and Los Angeles. The newer and soon-to-be-well-known cast might be local.

Yeah I think that Cady's IG post (from upthread) with the bangs ...  might possibly be an old picture from 2010.
I had initially assumed that pic with the bangs was new.  But now I'm not sure.
I thought she was saying "here's I what I look like today now, just like I was in 2010",
but actually she might have meant "I now have a similar hair color to what I had in 2010".

It does seem that she now has sort of a few bangs, wispy/subtle on the sides of her forehead, but not strong bangs like years ago?

Here it is again from upthread. So yeah I think this is old.

Last time I went red with bangs (in 2010) I felt like a new person! As I do now! I love becoming new people, new parts of myself. It’s like unwrapping a present…

In the Zoom, Cady did have bangs when she was speaking to us. I believe the hair color itself was lighter than what was seen in the BTG pic I posted (taped in November 2024), but I can't remember. We weren't given a video recording of the press junket itself for me to reference.

All from the press junket the soap press attended (about eight of us). Will have some stuff up later today from that joint interview session later as well. Nothing was exclusive to any of us, even though we each had our individual questions -- will point out what I asked when I share my stories later.

I'm sure there are tons of shots of each actor as that's how photo shoots work, but clearly they felt the original photo used did not best represent Clifton and/or his character considering the coverage this show is going to get in the coming days, weeks, months, etc. A change had to be made now, and they found a much better photo from the bunch they took during the shoot.

As for Timon. He's the male lead, IMO. Karla is the female lead. Tell me otherwise, and I'll buy you dinner. That statement in no way should take away from the importance of other cast members, particularly Tamara, Clifton and Daphnee, but the show is built around Dani's storyline at the outset and Bill/Dani's relationship will be a talking point for at least the next couple of week's worth of episodes, if not longer (definitely longer).

    • I very much liked office Cleary and the actress who portrayed her (as you say, Mary Peterson).  A shame her turn didn't evolve into a contract role.   BTW, does anyone know the timeframe/years that Betty Rae served as casting director?  If i understand correctly, she not only led the effort for contract roles, but also for shorter 13- and 26-week roles.  IMO, GL had LOTS of very well-casted, limited roles, too. I'm surprised the actors throughout the soap industry, and especially P&G actors, have not assembled a book or something similar, praising Rae.  Each actor could write a few paragraphs or a page of text describing his or her experience.
    • No. Ruth had an extramarital affair with David while married to Joe.
    • I'm not sure I agree with Bernstein's children on that. Bernstein's life and activism here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Bernstein#Social_activism_and_humanitarian_efforts
    • Thursday & Friday's episodes were excellent. The build-up was most definitely worth the wait (2 months). TMG, I can't give her enough accolades. AM, was also absolutely incredible. I think the fallout is going to have a ripple effect. The little clues that have been dropped,  hopefully, will weave seamlessly to reveal even bigger bombshells for the Dupree's and Martin.
    • Thanks, msn drives me nuts on the one hand but on the other hand their headlines appeal to me. And, I just don't do FoxNews.
    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archived copy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
