During Eric's break, the NBC sudser temporarily recast his front-burner character, Ethan Winthrop. Look for Port Charles grad Rib Hillis — he played Dr. Jake Marshak — to step in as Ethan for four episodes starting on May 25.

"I love coming back to daytime TV," Hillis tells TVGuide.com. "There's nothing like it. Ethan is an interesting guy to play. But I didn't kiss anyone or take off my shirt once!"

Bummer. FYI: Those who wanna see more of Rib should pick up the May issue of Out magazine. The 35-year-old male model poses tastefully nude in a stunning Yves Saint Laurent fashion spread by top photographer Tony Duran. Hillis' toddler son Dane also appears in the layout: He's the cute little blonde boy riding in a leather satchel. Awww...

Interesting...I don't remember him, but as long as Eric comes back it's fine.

I loved him on Port Charles as Jake Marshak. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does with Ethan. Maybe he'll breathe some new life into the character.

Cool. I loved him on PC. If he is good in the role can we keep him . Although any decent acting will be ruined by the never ending triangle that is Theresa/Ethan/Gwen. Who knows maybe he will bring some life into it.

If it's only for 4 epi's, I guess I can handle an Eric recast.
