Im not happy about them burning down the Horton house. The only way I could see it work, is if they were to rebuild during its 60th anniversary and bring back members of the Horton family to help rebuild, mingle into storylines.  The most important being Bo and Hope.

Also the writing was there for Xander to be Victor's other heir.  I had a hard time believing that Alex was Victor's "son," being that we never saw him and Vivian in a romantic situation together. She was with Harper, and then Justin and Neil and then left town.  I could have seen them making Alexander either Harper or Neil Curtis' child before Victor's

The Florida event was the SAME weekend as Day of Days in October.
The actors at the Florida event had already committed to it months before it was announced that Day of Days would be switched from November to October.  That's why Ari Zucker and Judi Evans were not at Day of Days.

Thanks. The question was rhetorical as I knew without a doubt that it was Matt! And, in fact, it only takes about a half hour to go from much hair to little hair & from bearded to clean-shaven. Now, the reverse, yeah, that takes time!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but, last year's preview covered material up through January, because we saw Doc die on the roof.  However, this year's video seems to end around Xmas, which makes me wonder if they are purposely not promoting the scab episodes?

Just a dopey conspiracy at this point, but I'd like to revisit it in the new year.

    • @DeeVee Claire is a perfect example. So many women came to Springfield as competent, smart, and talented professionals. Then they’d attract a so-called “good guy,” get dumped, and spiral into complete chaos. What always strikes me is how clearly it plays like a male fantasy—yet it was written and sold to a female audience.
    • I just watched some parts of an episode of GL where Roger has just been shot by Holly. Rita then admits to Hillary that Roger raped her. Kasdorf is such a fantastic actress. I wish there were more of her work available.
    • -- Alex Alegria has almost a full sleeve tattoo on one arm and a large tatt on one pec. I see no indication that the show is covering up his ink,
    • Didn't Carrie2 even seduce a minor? Ick. Oh, yeah, and she even tried to seduce Alan, but this was his post-prison era when he was trying to prove to everyone he had changed. It's funny that of all people he didn't go for it. Wait. Josh had an affair with Vanessa? Or she just thought he did? I know people always say "it's just a soap" but the way mental illness is portrayed on soaps (and that goes for pretty much all of them) has always been not great, especially PPD. They practically turned Claire into The Joker. She also was trying to seduce men. (I notice that now Mary Ryan Munisteri is listed as co HW with Ryder in the 1986 episodes, Claire has calmed down a lot. Never thought her GL career was very good but seems like she tried to course correct that a bit).
    • sss Ms. Tunie is a goddess. I feel all the anger, pride, sadness, arrogance, dignity, fear, love, and other emotions in everything she does as Anita.
    • You're right. People like me who stuck with her, did so because of her history. The show just skated her along with no story,  no goal, no aim. Right again! This is who I forgot before. When you describe her, it makes me appreciate her more. Thinking back I loved Mandy.
    • Maybe Guza is becoming Y&R Head writer and Jilly will be named EP! Remember CBS installed Latham as consultant and later Mal Young, both of whom took over the show. Of course, they each got credit during the consulting days.
    • Don't forget Carrie, who as Carrie2 was screwing everything in pants, and PPD Reva, who to either get back at Josh for his supposed affair with Vanessa (or just to prove she's more desirable than Van) tries to screw half the male population.
    • Post-production isn't exactly akin to sweeping the floors, but it makes more sense given her CV.  And, it would invalidate any concerns that she has an undo influence on the creative process, as opposed to visual and sound design of the show.  In fact, given her interests, it makes sense that she would want to consult and see the impact of newer technology in a post-production facility.  I could only imagine how much has changed in sound technology since she worked on SB, and that might be intriguing to utilize. As well as their impending move (not as soon as B&B, but we all know it will happen) and helping set up post-production at the new facility.
    • The last five or so episodes of season 8 after the Jean Hackney story ended were pretty strong with the Laura/Val friendship breakdown, Ben's PTSD with Val trying to help him, and the start of Jill realizing that Val was as much of a threat to her happiness with Gary as Abby was. I always thought that the Jean Hackney story should have ended at mid season at the latest... and then deal with the fall-out because seeing Ben/Val switch roles with Ben in mental decline instead of Val would have been interesting to explore.  And seeing Val and Laura's friendship suffer also was interesting and should have been explored especially with Karen caught in the middle and Abby both intrigued and amused at the conflict that she didn't cause. However, season 8 was the only Latham run season where Val was well written.
