After making several return visits to “The Young and the Restless” as his popular character Danny Romalotti during the show’s much celebrated 50th anniversary season, Soap Opera Network has learned that actor Michael Damian is returning to the daytime drama series once again, this time for an extended stay.

According to a representative, fans can expect to see Damian’s Danny interacting with the denizens of Genoa City more frequently, beginning with the Thursday, September 28 episode, which also happens to be around the time the show kicks off Season 51. To be clear, it has not been specifically stated that Damian is on contract with the series.

Outside of soaps, Damian has made a name for himself both in music and as a director and producer, which includes work on such titles as “Moondance Alexander,” “A Princess for Christmas,” “The Sweeter Side of Life,” “A Royal Christmas,” “Crown for Christmas,” “The Christmas Waltz” and “Falling for Christmas,” among others. Since 1984, Damian has released 10 studio albums, and his music was featured in the 1989 soundtrack album to the film “Dream a Little Dream.”

Earlier this year, Damian and his wife Janeen signed a three-picture deal with Brad Krevoy’s Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), extending their collaboration with the company that has produced numerous hits for Hallmark Media and Netflix, among others, including several aforementioned Christmas-themed movies.

The next two films from the Damians include “Paris Christmas Waltz” for Great American Family starring Jen Lilley (“Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”) and Matthew Morrison (“As The World Turns,” “Glee”), which will debut as part of the network’s “Great American Christmas” holiday-themed movie event, and the Netflix original film “Irish Wish” starring Lindsay Lohan and Ed Speleers (“Downton Abbey,” “Picard”).

Damian originated the role of Danny Romalotti on “The Young and the Restless” in 1981. He’s made frequent return visits, including his 2002 to 2004 stint, and brief visits in 2008, 2012 to 2013, and again from 2022 to 2023.

    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
