Agreed.  I liked Sam and John McBain and Carly and Todd.  Once they both changed characters that dynamic was gone.  Also, I don't think McBain and Sam had much of a shot because she was like 8 months pregnant and the show was still ride or die with JaSam.

It's almost like the writers from Guza on down resent RH for being too popular to fire.  Poor Liz has had some awful stories.  The Nik affair, the shirtless doctor they tried to pair her with, the months she was in the loony bin chatting with that old lady that made ugly jewelry?  It doesn't seem to bother RH.  She still gives it her all, but she really deserves more respect.

I don't know why Jason doesn't just grow a pair and tell Carly to back the eff off.  It must be the lingering brain damage.  Any normal human would have left Sonny and Carly and their stupidity in the dust a decade and a half ago.

Count me in as a fan of Sam and John McBain. I loved those two as Livvie and Caleb so it was great to see they STILL had it. And the fact that it drove JB a bit batty (which he thankfully was able to humble himself since then) and that was just a crazy time.

I'll say this much...it's hard being a Liz fan. As I've said before, as a legacy character they could do so much more with her. I'm not against a Finn/Liz pairing though. It is too early to tell though. Though could you imagine if the writers decided to repair ME and KM too. We would get a Liz/Finn/Sam/Dante drama?

I thought ME and KeMo were pretty hot on PC.  But I don't think KeMo and SBu have much chemistry so who knows?

Sorry, I thought Liz was in the sanatorium and that's how they met, but I guess that was after Liz's stay there.   Regardless, it was weird how that woman was the only person Liz was talking to.

Oh, trust me, Steve Burton and Monaco also do not have chemistry... especially since his latest return, and her apparent disinterest in being Sam.

Nope. The woman was a patient, and I remember her daughter coming to the hospital and Elizabeth going off on her like it was her job.

I liked Jason/Sam right at the beginning.  I have never enjoyed Sam at all and have no idea why the world's most lifeless performer is so popular.

SBu has done good work and does sometimes have chemistry with people, so I am more open to him/Britt.

I would not be against this.  RH/KeMo play really well off each other as adversaries.

I will go out on a limb and say that KeMo works best when she's a villainess. Perople liked Livvie from what I remember on PC, but they LOVED her once she went back. And KeMo played that seductively well. Same for when she went off the deep end due to Jason and Liz FINALLY getting together. And at least in both cases if I remember correctly the writing at least built up and explained how she could go from good, but tough girl to bad girl/vixen. I haven't seen PC in a long time though, but I am sure the writers spent a year (two max) building up to the Jasam breakup to a place where Jason and Liz would get together and it made sense at the same time why Sam would be scorned woman about it. Shame it lasted (Vixen Sam) a year I believe...maybe two. And yes, I loved her with GV Lucky aswell.

But needless to say RH/KeMo DEFINITELY give excellent adversary energy.

And lest I forgot...Sam gave a great bitcaslap to Carly on her way out the door as she went from good to bad.

I forgot that I liked evil Sam.  KeMo is just someone who has felt so bored and collecting a paycheck for so many years I can't remember any good parts about her performance.  I genuinely think keeping Sam bad ass and someone who didn't have kids would be a better choice.  I know kids on soaps are a norm, but it can be refreshing to have characters and woman that don't want to have children.

    • I found it to be a rather odd way to deal with a character departing for parts unknown.
    • Today reminded me as to why I’m a little disappointed in the name that the new Pope chose

Luckily, EJ and Johnny, and pretty much every other character saved today’s episode.  I didn’t expect Javi to be the one to save Sarah though, and I don’t mind it at all, because if it means that Javi is finally going to get his own identity/character, away from his douchy bf, I’m all for it. Javi’s scenes would’ve been a lot better had it not been for him. EJ and Johnny were the best part of today. Their conversation hit a lot of important beats and I’m so looking forward to seeing them play out. And now that EJ knows that Johnny is going to work for Xander, that opens up another dynamic to their storyline and to the Kiriakis family storylines as well. Tying them all together could be really good. There are so many story possibilities that can come out of this. And I thought Carson Boatman did a pretty good job again too.  I also liked that Johnny was there to comfort Chanel after everything that happened with Sarah. They’re so good together. But I do have mixed feelings about Chanel possibly forgiving Johnny so quickly. Hopefully, the question that she asked him at the end of today leads to more conflict for the two of them.  And yeah, still no changes in Alex’s character lol
    • Awesome, thanks so much for taking the time to grab the episode. I had a quick review of your rip because I was curious why it was 700MB and 30 minutes. The first 10 minutes of the episode is 3169 (opening credits at 5 minutes and again at 15 minutes). The full HD version of ep.3170 is on YouTube channel:

    • That's a name I haven't heard in a minute. Thanks!
    • Well, since I'm still up unexpected past my growing-into-it bedtime. lol.   I finally got to rewatch Monday's. I even rewatched Friday's to take it all in. Now that we got the reveal and hit the climax of the SilkPress Sheila storyline, now we get to watch the aftermath and/or turns that come with its climax. So far, so good. Friday left us with three cliffhangers. And what I found surprising was how I felt about them over a rewatch.    I know some of you all felt a way about the dialogue during Kat vs Eva. I remember liking it more the first time around and it was nice for them to have these scenes to establish more of a frenemy vibe for them going forward. That still held up. But I found myself agreeing with you all about that dialogue. lol. Still, it was nice to have both of their POVs.   Second up was Silk Press Sheila vs the Duprees. And I was happy to get a brief spat with Dani in there. But the rest standouts for me was Anita and Martin. Haters can hate and given the tail end of the episode, I will agree to a fault, but Brandon has impressed and he was on fire on Monday and had great subtle work on Friday. And that subtle work made it all the better. Like I believe I said when I was watching...BC has a much better grip on his character and seems to be realizing what his tics are so has started to be able to know when to turn it up and when to dial it down. And for the most part (emphasis on most), he got that. Meanwhile, TT was giving fierceness, and I was here for every minute of it. Her reading SilkPress. Her being quip about it. Her 'BE STILL.' Ooooo she had a chokehold on me as Anita gave what I was expecting her to SilkPress. WORTH THE WAIT. I also loved Vernon's CHOOSE SILENCE. I wonder though if SilkPress will figure out Martin's condition from her observing Anita and Vernon with him.   And speaking of worth it...Oooo YES Nicole vs Ted was worth totally worth it. Oooooo I knew DD would nail it, and it was all so well done. The fight between the part of Nicole who is a therapist vs Nicole as a woman who wants to express how she feels. And being so angry. And how there would be moments when it would shoot out of her. And how she would restrain herself. But how she felt she should not be restrain. Just the levels of processing and layers. And DD played it all so well. I do wish Maurice gave just a little bit more, but overall, I thought he did a good job even if it was just Ted coming across as a deadbeat and not at all redeemable. And Kat being there for her mother was so beautiful.   Minority, but I love the montage though yes, it did run a little long. Given how the Duprees like to bond (and also as I mentioned from my own very recent family experiences), it did not seem out of place to me.     That said...let's see how the aftermath worked in today's episode. Overall. Cuz RC can be hit or miss.
    • I wonder whose brilliant (

) idea it was to do an almost complete rip-off of the "who killed Tom King"-storyline. That's some quality style writing right there.....
