December 11, 20205 yr Webmaster Dear Members, During the next two weeks, we will be downgrading the server in which we use for the message boards. With changing technologies, the current server the message boards is hosted on is no longer necessary, particularly as we split the main website from the MBs several months ago. To that end, our host provider will be putting together a new server to host the MBs over the next two weeks. Therefore, when complete, the message boards will be offline for a very brief period (date to be determined) in which data will be transferred over to the new server so as not incur any data loss. The downtime is expected to last mere minutes. We will provide further updates as we get closer to the migration period. -- Errol
January 20, 20215 yr Author Webmaster UPDATE: So, the hosting provider for our message boards took longer than expected to build the system and have it available for our use. I was informed today, after more than a month since placing the order, that the transition is now ready to take place. Therefore, starting late this evening, the message boards will be offline so that they can transfer our data from our current server to our new one. The physical work should take no more than an hour or so, with the overall server not going down except for maybe a period of five minutes. When I get the go-ahead, I will turn the message boards back on shortly after midnight tonight.

The work was completed when it was supposed to but I fell asleep before I got the notice. After a few hiccups this morning, the message boards are back online. Again, my apologies for the delay.
