Last night it was Rikki Lake. She was the Raven. I didn't know her husband had committed suicide. I miss her talk show.

Glad it was picked up for another season. Their demos are doing very good.

Just checked and they had the #1 demo for the night....2.2.....

https://deadline.com/2020/10/the-masked-dancer-craig-robinson-host-masked-singer-spin-off-fox-1234604904/

It is amusing, but how could anyone identify a masked dancer?  Dancers don't have signature moves that would translate to a masked competition.  Call me when they do the Masked Artist and I'll be there in front of my TV.

lol

Even funnier was when Nicole Scherzinger asks, “Is that Robert Duvall?!?!” And Ken says under his breath, “That’s… not Robert Duvall.”

All things aside, it’s spectacularly sh!tty they threw one of their hosts under the bus for sensationalism.

Plus, they gambled for a ratings boost and… lost.

Not to get TOO political in a thread that's not supposed to be about politics, but it strikes me as...well...interesting that the GOP routinely accuses Hollywood of corrupting the rest of the country with its' "loose," liberal values; when, in fact, I would argue that the film, television and media industries have done more to normalize and glamourize Republicans than anyone else.  And Rudy's appearance last night on TMS is merely the latest example of that.

And, of course, here we have someone who has aided and abetted our former leader in a multitude of sins - including the likely irreversible corrosion and perversion of our nation's supposed, core principles - being celebrated like a king on national TV, and who are the ones cheering him on the loudest?  The white, female judges.

Parker Molloy was right: we really have failed as a society.

Exactly.  Thank you.  ICAM.

GOP'ers want to tsk-tsk Hollywood, but they want Hollywood to give them and their deplorable-ness the mainstream legitimacy they so obviously crave, too.  (Never mind the fact that very few, if anyone, who lives outside of Hollywood or NYC looks to the entertainment industry as any sort of moral or ethical compass.)

I dunno know but, it feels like by paying Giuliani to appear last night, which will go straight to his defense fund, Fox is making an indirect political contribution to a crook who conspired against congress.

It may be in poor taste to employ Sarah Palin, but it borders on supporting illegal activity when they pay someone who is currently under federal indictment.

Yup.  FOX and TMS's producers either underestimated the negative impact that Rudy's appearance would have made or, more likely, they thought the controversy he was BOUND to engender would goose the ratings.

    • She did have a thing with him in the late '90s, before she inexplicably disappeared with no mention as to why, although I can't remember if they had sex.
    • I don't believe she did. She did sleep with Simon, believing he was a Spaulding.
    • -- If I ever get sick, please don't send me to Garland Memorial. That hospital is a YIKES. -- Soooo much activity around the main nurses' desk. Do they move dead people on a gurney past that desk, too? -- 8 months for Bill to recover from a "small stroke"? Uh....I don't think so. Is anyone researching this stuff? The hospital stuff is not coming off as realistic. -- It's good that Derek and Ashley are being integrated into other stories, but it's a real stretch to say Leslie was "stalking" Ashley. It makes Derek seem dumber than we already think he is. -- Ashley spends a lot of time having small talk while she's at work. -- Chelsea is embarrassing. Period. -- Tomas is supposed to pick up the slack for Bill, but he has time to have worthless conversations with Leslie? OK then. -- Kat is destroying the case against Leslie, but that's clearly the way to keep Leslie on the canvas.
    • 6-3   I almost let my system just delete the episode just like with B&B. I am now questioning if I should have. lol.   I just can't believe that Cole sat there and started to get sick and then only Victoria off and ran off and everyone basically went back to what they were doing at Nikki's birthday party. Cole was too much of a vet character for that. And now story back off-screen.   I did chuckle at how much Victor pay Kyle dust. And now Kyle with this deal and a promise to leave town if he hurts Claire. smh. As if Victor isn't going to make that happen.   It was lovely to see Ashley. And actually (misdressed and all) Abby.    And I liked Claire's dress.
    • Oh. That. I pretend that never happened.

I did think of another possibility. Did India ever sleep with Alan? They kind of toyed with pairing them up, but I'm not sure they ever became lovers.
    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
