Overdid it with the coffee and now I feel borderline anxiety level of energy.

Never drinking two double cappuccinos one after another.

What was I thinking?

Not drinking coffee today. That new coffee machine spiraled me into addiction with cappuccino and chocolate lattes. Not again. Even my eyebrows were twitching from too much caffeine yesterday.

Back in the day when GL was still on the air & then when it was canceled & then as we approached the birth of Venice the Series, I had a wonderful online friend whose nickname or handle was DAX, also DAXilla, real name Patricia Givens. She was an amazing author of WLW fan fiction. She was also a very very good friend & it was her avid hobby to write fan fiction. At the age of only 44 DAX died. That was Feb. 9, 2014. You are missed. People who repeat the cliche that every parent loves their child... Need to read more about narcissistic, histrionic, borderline and antisocial personality disorders.

And then we'll talk again.

Today I saw something that made me go back in time. Years ago I was defending a colleague of mine... defending her from...  another colleague - a bully woman who every chance she had tried to demean her and humiliate her. We had situations in bars when that girl would just start crying from all the jokes she heard about herself... and I would intervene and tell that other one to stop it and that she is actually the one that is looking awful in the situation.

I went through hell and back (dealing with a drunk bully narcissist is hell) to defend her time and time again, because she seemed very naive and not able to stand up for herself. But even then I sensed a strange vibe... that she continued putting herself in situations where she would meet or talk with that other woman. It seemed strange that they always were in some sort of confrontation and always the same dynamic - one being a bitch, the other one silently taking the emotional abuse.

Fast forward nearly 10 years later and that woman I defended years ago... is not in touch with me... but she is still around that bully that I'm sure continues humiliating and demeaning her. She even comments on her facebook posts and pictures and cheers her on like a dog. I know their dynamic, so I'm sure that nothing has changed. I also know the bully woman's M.O and I bet she is even worse now.

Lesson learned - not everyone who seems like they need defending or help... actually wants it or appreciates it. There are people who are perpetual victims and they like putting themselves in these situations. With the passage of time, they not only forget the good you've done for them and how you had their back, but they prefer the bully over you any day, any time.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
