There is one person who ran towards the shooter in Oregon, but he had been in the military. He knew what he was doing in a war zone. Some people may go into shock and cannot move, that has to be a possible behavior some exhibit.

There is plenty of precedent for people rushing a shooter. The Gabby Giffords shooting is an example of that. Ironically enough, shooters usually get tackled while they are reloading which is why limiting magazine size is good idea but the NRA opposes that. So we've got Ben Carson telling people to rush the gunman while the Republican party works hard to make sure that gets them killed.

He also got shot seven times. Perhaps Carson should visit him in the hospital and tell him what a pu$$y he is.
