I do think fans will be surprised. It's easy to forget how many viewers are spoiler free. Will is probably the last person they expect to see be a victim. 

And this is what it's all about. The unhappy on liners mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's not about killing a legacy character (fvcking hate what that word means to today's soap viewers), it's what comes next to the people who knew and loved him. Let online soap fans make decisions and legacy characters will never die. 

20 years ago, possibly, but now death is so meaningless on soaps. A few days of wailing from Sami won't change that.

Maybe, but that still doesn't mean they should kill this one. It's a horrific waste.
