The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Let me clarify, I think Mockingjay P1 is an awesome movie! For me, though, CF is just the peak of the series. The first book was too introductory, which was needed because the HG world is so complicated to understand at first, but half the book was explaining everything and then the other half was basically HG action. It didn't really translate all THAT well to the screen, because they kinda eschewed from the introductory stuff and focused more on the action, which I'm not really here for. Catching Fire had everything stabilized, you had a well-developed cast of characters, and there was way more character interaction. You had the action, but you also had character-driven stuff underneath everything, and it was just awesome. I feel like if they were ever to pick a point to make a TV series out of the whole Panem craziness, I think they'd find a place towards the beginning of CF to start. Mockingjay P1 was more procedural and almost like a standalone action movie. Granted, I still haven't read the book, so IDK what happens in the second half.

I'm weird, though. I usually prefer the stability before a climax than the actual climax itself.
