AMANDA CORDAY, GRANDDAUGHTER OF "DAYS" CREATORS, TO APPEAR IN OCTOBER

Amanda Corday will be appearing on several episodes of "Days of Our Lives" beginning in October. No word yet on what character she will be playing. In 2005, she appeared as a candy striper at the hospital. Corday, who lists herself as an actor/writer/singer/comedian on Twitter, is the daughter of executive producer Ken Corday, and the granddaughter of "Days" creators Ted and Betty Corday.

AFTER 13-YEAR ABSENCE, JERRY PENACOLI TO REPRISE HIS ROLE AS MILES MALLOY

Jerry Penacoli, longtime correspondent on "Extra", reprises his role of Miles Malloy on "Days of Our Lives" beginning September 27. Penacoli, who played himself on "Days" in 2011, this time returns to his original role of Miles Malloy, who he played for 9 episodes in 2000. Back in 2000, Miles hired Marlena as a radio talk show therapist. With Penacoli tweeting earlier this month that he just taped more "Days" episodes, look for Miles to be sticking around into 2014.

I wonder if Marlena will be doing a show again.

Jerry's doing episodes for awhile. He said he was still taping this month. So I'd consider his role recurring. He debuts on Friday and is still airing into January.

Amanda's will probably be a shorter term.
