Haha. This makes me laugh because you guys are really, really good! You should totally write this! I have to admit that coming back and reading all of the posts at once though is making me need a flow chart to keep the relations in order.

But keep going!

It may seem small, but you should click around in order to see other people and their connection. I'll edit it as more people are added in the future. Due to the inter-connectedness of people there are some duplicates, as the site won't allow for some of the more bizarre ones. Ah, soaps.

Good. Nice use of an umbrella story for the young ones.

Trey's Schizophrenia

Trey Francis, the kind and gentle son of Catherine and Lester, was doing well about to graduate with his Degree of Economics, but he suddenly started having bouts of hallucinations, in which he imagines an old man berating and bullying him. He tries to take his life, but Rowenna stops him. Oliver takes advantage of Trey's condition to insert himself into Rowenna's life and position himself as the "only person who can heal him". Rowenna gets fooled by Oliver and falls in love with him. Little does she know that Trey is getting worse and worse without any real treatment. When she threatens to leave Oliver, he fights back by saying that he'll withhold the “rare and special” medication that would save Trey. Lester tries to get the best doctors from Switzerland to treat Trey, as he's desperate to save his son's life....

Her father has been opposed of the relationship from the start believing Trey wasn't good enough for his daughter. During one of Trey's hallucinations, Raven accidentally fell down the stairs and miscarried the baby she was carrying with Trey. She has kept the baby's existence and death a secret to this day. She is also very protective of her younger brother Oliver, who continues to fool her in thinking he's a good person. She is currently weary and jealous of Trey's personal nurse Hannah Carlton (Jennifer Landon)

Kade Gehring

Age: 30

Kade is a young, confident, public defender who has pretty high-minded ideals of delivering justice for his clients. He quickly clashes with Hannah Carlton, as he once defended a man who totaled her car in a drunken hit-and-run. He and Hannah have a frenemy-like relationship.
Kade, having once been caught in an endless gambling/debt downward spiral, owed almost $5 million dollars to notorious loan shark Donatello Mauro. Donatello warned Kade that some of his family members may die, but Kade failed to heed the warning, and his brother Terrell Gehring was stabbed, but somehow found away to escape his attacker. However, Terrell's injuries sent him to a coma. Kade's dad was wrongfully arrested for the crime, and he was sent to prison when he was convicted. Kade is currently trying to find a way to get his father out of jail.

Marcella Mauro and her mother's will.

Having lost Sirena Cosmetics to Lukas, Marcella goes back and analyses the course of her life. Wanting to connect with her dying mother Jeannie, she travels to Chicago to see her and maybe secure some money for herself and Gianna in the will. However, she finds out her mother is missing...without a trace. The only clue is a diary her mother kept that spoke of a past life spent in London, England.

In order to solve the mystery, she hires Private Investigator Nathaniel Rawlings, who seems more interested in digging up dirt connected with the Mauro family than helping Marcella with her mother. Marcella and Nathaniel both fly to England. What they find is a formerly homeless man in his early 30's named Rodney Malthus, who declares that Marcella's mom died and willed him all her money. What happened to Jeannie Fontana? Is she really dead? Is the will legit?

    • Agree to disagree. Like first, love second. OH, agree, agree, agree! Legendary Featherstone, you're not dressing this one well at all. Petite woman with ample bosom, wrong clothes = awful  matronly looking ugh. I'm sorry but I felt hit over the head with everything each of them thought & felt for about 6 more days than I felt I had signed on for.  I don't know you well enough to know if you will know when I'm teasing, so I've just warned you that I am when I say, I hate for you that you haven't actually met Danielle before. LOL. To me it was just a natural take.  I have no problem going back & forth between those two focal sites. But, I am certainly aware that early on I had an expectation of being really into their having 27 sets & that has definitely not been the realization. And, yes, for now, Frank is still heads above any & all others with us & sets IMO.  Huh? Guza gone. I have it in my head that he was only willing to come out of retirement (and presumed mourning) for a "certain amount of time" to help get this new creature launched, but had no desire to stay & so was one of the "over-staffed intentionally" that we were told about. Of course there's been no official word on the circumstances of his leaving.  But, you might mean go with Guza as in a style, if so, ignore the last para.

    • I'm so pleased we have such fan engagement about Dani. Reminds me of some other soap characters. I think it's because they are "polarizers" which is a word I may have just made up. They are polarizing on their shows to other characters & to story & they are polarizing in the audience as fans seem to have extreme reactions to them, love & hate, not middling neutrality, ya know? Well, it's a theory.  To me the human being you seek has been amply shown especially to two people & both more or less recently. Her sister bond with Nicole, whoa, has knocked me back & blown me away. And, with Chelsea, over her budding sexual identity and awareness. She gathered instantly that something was up with that daughter & was laser focused on her for several scenes. Then, for a third, she & Pamela have finally, also recently, been so real & genuine & authentic.
    • Thanks, Paul, I did not know about his interest in the comedic elements or that he was one of our many people who came from the network! I have always liked Marlena de la Croix's writing, which is not to say I 100% agree with her. She's been a member of my FB soap group for a good long time & she actually posts, which I love. Recently I posted about an e-copy of Robert LaGuardia's SOAP WORLD that is free to borrow like a library e-book but on the Internet Archive site & I posted that at the time of their publications, all of his soap opera books were the gold standard.  She immediately posted about "Bob" who was her close friend & how much she still misses him to this day & that he loved to talk soaps & was also a nice guy, etc. which I was over the moon to have her share about the author & his time etc. like that!!!
    • Just more RTD ego trips, seemingly his main reason for coming back.
    • Thanks @Paul Raven  That's a lovely writeup. Do fans feel it was warranted?
    • So I was reminded that we're now meant to be celebrating PRIDE by this amazing post:

    • RIP to our hero, John Black

I really wonder why they chose to write this whole ‘John is getting better’ part of the storyline, especially since we all knew what was really going to happen. And I hope we find out the answer someday. But as tough and as tearjerking as today was, it was also really beautiful. And the acting, even though a lot of it if not all of it was real, was spectacular. The flashbacks were beautiful too. I honestly can’t even describe how much I enjoyed today.  Having so many of John and Marlena’s scenes be focused on the two of them and their love story was the right decision. It was a fitting end to John and Marlena. And I’m also glad that John and Steve got to have one last goodbye after everything that happened. As for Bo and Hope and their family, I did think that some parts were a little unnecessary but I really enjoyed Bo’s dream and his reunion with Zack. The acting playing Zack actually did a pretty good job too. Everybody encouraging Bo to fight was really the right decision in this storyline as well.  As for the final minutes of today, be prepared. I actually have tears running down my cheeks as I write this.
