Found this post on deadline. Is it really Cat Hickland?

GREAT casting! I read this script (read for the same role) and trust me when I tell you it’s the BEST script I’ve read in YEARS. Marc Cherry just knows how to give good soaps, folks. That is all.

This is awesome news. Here's the show's IMDb page and all of the related articles:

Maya from All My Children would be cute on this show. I really hope this gets picked up and we get to see Susan weekly in primetime. A glossy ABC primetime soapy dramedy, this is totally up her alley. It's her Dynasty/Desperate Housewives/Ugly Betty all rolled into one. Wish Nolan Miller could dress her.

I think William Devane would also make for a good onscreen husband for a Lucci character. Like Mike Nader's Dimitri, Bill Devane is time enough for those Erica types, he won't take her [!@#$%^&*].

Special guest appearances by Phyllis Diller as her wacky overbearing mother and Robin Strasser as her even crazier-assed older sister... Mr. Mark Cherry is a man who could make those campy pop culture dreams happen.

Other wishful casting:

-Joan Collins or Stephanie Beacham as her English cousin

-The Knots Landing ladies in various guest roles: Joan van Ark, Michele Lee, Donna Mills

-BarBara Luna as one of the maids' mother/grandmother

-Cameron Mathison as far away from this show as possible

-DAVID CANARY!

-Sonia Braga

-Rita/Chita

Who would you suggest?

I hope the sets are amazing. We need big splashy mansions and expensive cars

Oh and whomever Lucci's husband is, she needs to be cheating on him with a much younger man. Maybe one of the maids can have a hot nephew/brother/son. Maybe Jordi Vilasuso. Actually Id go younger

date: Tuesday, May 20 | Ron Carlivati, Cheryl L. Davis | Shelley Curtis Pack up your crap, Derek. And take that hideous chair with you, but don't throw out the food! We know you have a particular habit of doing that. Anita being nervous about Tracey's arrival is cute, and I love that Vernon joined her. I'm just hoping Sharon will join them soon. Tomas and Eva keep getting ... teased! I appreciate him filling her in on what happened with Dana and Katherine. Dana, what in the world are you working at?! If I saw you with your evil smiles in my hospital room as I woke up, I'd be questioning what nightmare I was existing within. I appreciate the continued evolution of Tomas' backstory and where he's come from. It sounds familiar to what I've heard from others, so it's nice that true history can be nodded to. Derek, there is no way in Hell Jacob and/or Naomi want your stank-gross behind crashing on their couch. Katherine better be careful; she keeps intercepting Dana at all of these places, and if she is not careful, she may become the primary target of her plans. Dante Greene? Is he the Barry Gordy Jnr of the story? I appreciate that Tracy has some genuine feelings towards Anita and their past history. But I appreciate that she is at least open-minded to reuniting with Anita on a personal basis; it'll be interesting to see how Sharon reacts when she arrives (I am guessing). Not the wig washing. Dana's personalities and wigs must be an ongoing gag. But good on Eva for calling her out about being falsely accused of running Laura off of the road. I've said it once, and I will say it again: Katherine should be a detective, because her instincts are sharper than sharp. Notes: Can we stop having the male actors on this show sitting on tables? It's such a pet peeve of mine. Like, chairs exist for your backside to sit on, not tables where we EAT! The top they have Tamara Tunie (Anita) in would annoy the frick out of me if that flower kept hitting me in my chin. I'd be pulling that crap off immediately.
    • Willow in red & I can just imagine a letter A emblazoned on it.
    • And you know I make it very clear what works and doesn’t work for me

    • Just certain storylines. It’s definitely worth it to get caught up. He absolutely still needs to be recast.
    • Great casting for Tracy. I already love her.
    • I can't believe the gall of Leslie, but I love it! Makes great TV.  I hope they move on from this Ashley/Derek story about having difficult adjusting to living together. I get it. It's a thing. However, the way it's being written is boring. It should have been written for comedy getting on each others nerves. Maybe it would have lightened both characters and made them people to root for.  Okay. What happened to Tomas? He's improved so much this week! He is still a little dry sometimes, but I stick with him for now. I enjoy hearing his backstory and bonding with Eva.  Then, of course, Eva just rocks everything.
    • hard to believe that laura’s been in the hospital for what? — three months — and no one — not shanice, not mona — has filled her in about what happened at the anniversary party! does she not have any idea what leslie’s done.?
    • The actor playing Tomas is at his best opposite Eva. Ambyr will definitely pull the talent out. I still want him recast.
    • Yowzers! I'm only on episode 17 right now - LOL - you paint a dreadful picture of this show. Just popped into this thread page and I gotta wonder... is all of it bad or just certain storylines?
    • LOL I'd have the same look if I saw a psycho heading towards me with a pillow
