Nikki also visited her during one of Melody's hiatuses in the past couple years. If they were smart they would've hired Genie Francis as a Casey recast, a role she'd fit better in. Instead they went for that gimmicky "bitch" character which she couldn't play. It would also make it easier to take her being so similar to MTS.
