LOL...I noticed today that she was hanging out with the teens. She ran off every other person her own age. This is pure set up to put her with Chad so she can have conflict with Abby who already flipped out at them when she saw them together on Halloween

She was 18 when she first came on. It makes sense she's with this age group rather then Phillip who is supposed to be in his 30's.

I thought she was like 23/24. She at least came across older bc she's already a nurse, was married and as mentioned had older contemporaries like Philip and Chloe. Werent Nathan and Stephanie about 23-24? (I believe she came on SORASED to 18 in 2006) I thought Mel was the same age as them

At the time there was some criticism about Phillip being with "teenage girls."

If you were to go with her maturity she'd be hanging out with Theo & Ciara.

As for Mel, her age like most on days is questionable. She was brought on nearl 4 years ago at 18, making her around 22 now. She was young during the initial philip thing but was aged around the Nathan time to Steph's age, making her about 22. That was say a year and a half ago, making her 23 now. Now that shes with the younger set, shes def the oldest out of them likely at 21. But thats hard to tell because they all openly drink at the bar.

The games of age and relation on days is mind blowing TBH.

Not to mention Ashley Benson's (Abby) was heading to college back in 06. So she should really be around 23-24 as well.

There announcer is so awful. His whole angle (or maybe the direction) is to recite the lines in a ho-hum matter of fact fashion so the scenes disagreeing can make it seem even more dramatic. Unfortunately, it just seems dull.

What age group would Melanie hang out with if not for the Chad/Abby crowd? DOOL has no 24 to 30 year olds at this point in time,
