JAMES SCOTT NEARS 1000TH EPISODE AND IS READY TO SET NEW "DAYS" RECORD IN NOVEMBER 2011:

James Scott (EJ) has appeared in 993 episodes as of October 31, 2011. In November 2011, Scott will appear in his 1,000th episode of "Days", the 39th actor in "Days" history to reach that mark. In doing so, Scott will also be the quickest to appear in 1,000 episodes (less than 1,400 episodes will have aired since his debut in May 2006). The previous records were held by Macdonald Carey (Tom Horton), who appeared in 1,000 of his first 1,433 episodes and Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady Hernandez), who appeared in 1,000 of her first 1,422 episodes. Was Bren Foster on contract during his time off?

Yes, he was listed in the credits all of October, in his same spot. From when he was re-hired, it was before his contract had ended. Bren said he found out he was being brought back on his last day of work, so he was never off-contract. They just couldn't have him in the scripts for 5 weeks since those had already been written. Similar thing happened with Drake Hogestyn last time around. After John was "killed" off and brought back as Robo-John, that was the same sort of situation. That's why Drake remained in his spot in the credits when he returned as Robo-John, he had never been off contract.

Wasn't that the same situation with Renee Jones in 2007? They brought her back but than let her go again later in the year but I don't remember her name disappearing for the end credits during that short period when they changed their minds again and decided to keep her.

I'm (mostly) cool with the Top 10 this month. How great is it that we have Deidre Hall, Patrick Muldoon, and Suzanne Rogers in the top 10?!?
