The pace of this show! Margaret DePriest is on a roll. Every episode is a cliffhanger for the ages... filled with so much action... sometimes even TOO much!

My husband watched a little with me and he disapproved of the vibe. His comment - "Why is this show going so fast, and why is everyone talking so much. It's confusing. They don't stop talking! It's not like B&B or Another World!" LOL. And he is right... 2 episodes of AMC lately are what The Bold And The Beautiful give in storyline for 1 year.  And he is also right that ever since MDP came on... the scripts have been kinda sloppy and crowded with boring chatter - they need EDITING and cleaning up and they'll be good. The core of the episode is okay... but the peripheral is messy. I have gotten used to it... so it doesn't annoy me as much.

So what is going on!

The three main storylines that interest me. I am not going to comment on the Romeo and Juliet or the Nico-Cecily stupid comedy stuff.

1. Marissa was questioned by authorities about her migration status. Natalie and Donna's plan backfired and it led to the all so predictable situation in which Jeremy felt the need to SAVE Marissa and help her. Palmer tried to blackmail Natalie with the threat of revealing she was in Marissa's room, but Donna managed to deter him while providing her best friend a great alibi - she was willing to lie and say that Natalie was in her salon... and who would believe that old goat of a liar in the first place? In the end Marissa and Natalie went into a heated argument (instigated by Palmer) and Marissa flew down the stairs! GOD I LOVED seeing that woman roll down! Hahahhaha. Then Jeremy found out that it was indeed Natalie who called Migration on Marissa... and... we'll see what happens next!

2. Erica has been isolated by pretty much every man she once had relationship with. She is finding herself in a strange situation - a complete outsider in her own life. I love this storyline.  Even little Bianca's illness couldn't make Travis trust and want Erica back. She did all she could to seduce him... to no avail. Meanwhile... while she was busy focusing on Travis... Jackson moved on and starting looking around - more particular - he noticed Julie and how cute she is looking now that she's grown into a woman. God this show does love to pair young women with these mature men. Erica sensed that and panicked... acting more and more outrageous and over the top. Spiraling... to a humiliating point. The one person that once again brought her down to the ground and just... cold-showered her ego and delusions was MONA - one return to reality talk with her mother and Erica knew what she had to do - she decided she is finally done with Travis. But before putting the period stop mark, she wanted one last conversation. That's where I'm at... in the last episode I saw. Sadly for Erica... while she is running to see Travis - he is probably making love to Barbara. That would be a scene if Erica catches them in the act.

3. Now that Dixie has fallen into to the spider's web... she is moving back officially in the "Manor of Pain" aka Adam Chandler's mansion - a place that rapists, attempted killers, lunatics, liars and scammers call home-base. The pregnant girl with the Bible in hands... doesn't know what she has gotten herself into. Like the fairytale - The Bluebeard... her husband to be... can only destroy the women he touches... and right now he has only 1 thing in his mind - to get that BABY. You are almost made to feel empathy for Dixie, even though we all know she got herself into this. But to the rescue is - Tad... who has vowed to stop the evil Adam and help Dixie and her unborn child. It would be cool, if it was not so cliche. But Tad is at least charming and somewhat sexy.

So yeah... it's going well. I can't believe I'm up to June 1989 almost! I'm getting really used to this being my main soap. I just can't live without it.

Highlight - Natalie vs Marissa. Die, bitch, die!

@Maxim Thanks for the clip.

There's that Janet in Natalie...

Such a huge waste of Nancy Addison. I don't know if you have watched the two 1973 GL episodes with her that recently appeared, but she's playing a very similar type of character. Nancy could play anything. Even...this.

Dull David. I don't know if those photos are on here anymore but the best thing about him was his workout shots in Episodes Magazine.

YES! She is working that mediocre material (especially the early in the storyline stuff, now it's gotten better) to her best ability. My husband likes her too - he said that she is the best actress in the show right now. I just hope she wakes up from the coma and they don't kill her off so soon, like they did with Silver. I would love her even more if they stripped her from these action-thriller vibes and just gave her more human nuances.

Aaaand I have to watch these 1973 GL episodes, thank you for the heads up!

I assume they are in that amazing youtube channel we are all obsessed with lately?

And I agree  - Dull sticks to David perfectly. I really can't stomach him and Melanie - the fact that this guy is shirtless 99.9 percent of the time and flexing his triceps with no apparent reason doesn't help. And it usually helps.

YEA!!! Tad, the man, not Tad the cad, is on the scene.

I love Tad. I also love Dixie.

And, your line below here has reminded me of an anecdote. Before Patrick Mulcahey had gotten underway with soaps AT ALL, there was a period of time when he was bartending & writing plays that this group was producing. He had met Marcy Walker. They were both at a read-through of a play & afterward they walked together & all of a sudden, this car pulled up beside them & the people rolled down their windows & all SCREAMED, "Die, Liza, you bitch!" And that was sorta his introduction to soap fans.
