To be honest I'm amazed that GH have bothered to do a gay storyline for any other reason than to be "hip" or cash in on Desperate Housewives style themes.

And having recently heard a less than flattering story about JFP's attitudes towards homosexuality, I'm surprised she's gone along with it too.

What makes you think this isn't to be hip or to cash in on Desperate Housewives? It's just like when Kelly Monaco did Dancing With the Stars and they copied it. How stupid can these writers be?!

I would have enjoyed it more if Ryan Carnes played the role. But now im just uninterested.

I don't think they're invested in a gay storyline either since Lucas is just a throwaway character.

This hasn't even started but I bet this storyline will tank anyhow. How can they put Lucas frontburner when they haven't even truly invested in the character to begin with? GH is mess. Makes me glad school takes up a lot of my time now. That way I don't feel like I'll miss much.

I wish I could care but I really cant stand this Lucas. Had either of the 2 previous Lucas' been in the role, I would have been interested. Overall, the GH teens get on my nerves. Loved Maxie till they replaced her with KS

True. KS sucks as Maxie and while I enjoyed GQ at one point, I am always flipping channels when they're on now. GH doesn't write for them at all. Could care less about Jesse, Brook-Lynn will be gone soon (such a pity though. They could've done more with her). The only relatively interesting one is Lulu and I fear she will be cursed like the rest of them. So GH is basically giving me nothing to work with that makes me care about Lucas who will go from backburner to frontburner in a flash and then back once they realize they're too lazy to write something of substance and originality for a gay character.

I wonder if we'll get a scene where Carly ridicules Lucas and gets in Bobbie's face about Lucas. Because that's the only thing she seems to be doing these days.
