"Hotel Cæsar" is a Norwegian soap series, and has lasted from 1998 and is still running. It's shown on Norwegian TV 2 Monday to Thursday 19.30. The show is about a hotel (obviously...), and both about the family that owns the hotel (Anker-Hansen) and the employees at the hotel. Read more about it on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotel_C%C3%A6sar

Well, there you have Charlotte  Not the best actress in the show, in my opinion. But, I haven't seen this period of the show, so I don't know what's on in that clip.

I wounder, did you see old clips or clips from the recent years? The show changed a lot in the period 2005-2007. From 1998 to 2005 the show was ok, 2006 was a lot of sex and violence (to attract younger viewers), 2007 was, in my opnion, the worst year in the show's history, 2008 some better, 2009 some better than 2008 and the same with 2010. So, let's hope 2011 will be even better!

And, Jens August, yes. Well, right now they're running a story on him being allowed, from his wife, to cheat on her - if he just tells her who it is.

Thanks for telling me more. So I guess any excuse to have Jens August sleep around.

I did read that about the show changing course for a few years to get viewers. I guess it worked?

I guess the woman in the clip was faking a pregnancy? The scene just goes on way too long with her wailing.

What do you think of that Pelle comic relief character?

I first watched this show when I was in Norway. My friend had said that it was her mother's favourite show, and she could never miss an episode, so I thought that it must be good, and as I was sick at the time, thought I give it ago... It was terrible beyond words. An entire episode that centred around a football match. Soooo boring. Nothing happened. I think there was a scuffle at the end of the match, but there was no drama. Nothing. I've never watched again.

I guess so, yes,

No, it's strange, but it didn't work - the ratings fell, I think it was because they changed to much. From 2005 to 2006 the show changed so much that it looked like two different shows. So, after this they've tried to make the show more like it was before 2006.

Hmm, you might be right there. The woman and Jens August (the man "attacking" her), started a relationship, but then they parents told them they were half siblings...

I think Pelle is ok, I wouldn't care if he left the show, but sometimes it's nice to have him "around". He has improved since 2007-2008, were he was just ... strange. But the last year he has been some better. It was great that he was the one to save Juni Anker-Hansen's life in a fire before christmas:

I'm not sure, but I think that episode aired in 2007. Am I right?

Anyway, I don't think it's a that great show, but it's the only Norwegian soap, so... But, again I think most people will agree that the show is better now than in 2007.

Here's a recap of the period 2008-2010 (well, pretty much stuff aren't there, but I hadn't more clips than those on my computer (and I know, some of the clips are a bit too long...)) :)

What do you think?

Hard to tell. Some pronounce it like Cesar (with a (norwegian?) "e"), while most pronounce it like, as the name says, Cæsar. You might try to "translate" it in Google Translate and listen on the norwegian pronounce there (in my opinion the pronouncing in that "clip" isn't 100 % correct, but it gives you an impression on how its pronounced)?

Here is a clip where Jens August's wife, Eva, arrives back home from USA one day earlier than expected, just while Jens August has some fun with his mistress...

Shown: 17th March 2011

And here's a "promo" I've made for the 2010 finale:

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.
