Members passionsfan
I was just reading the bible for Capital, and it was interesting to read about the characters in greater detail, and see how it changed from its idea to the screen. I was curious to know if anyone knows where I could read the bibles of the current soaps on the air?
Members All My Shadows
IDK about the current soaps, but ATWT's original bible was posted on We Love Soaps last year, here. It's not as in-depth as the Capitol bible, but it's good reading.
Members SFK
The original Capitol bible was quite interesting (complete with biracial heroine!). While still interesting, the revised version which we saw on air wasn't nearly as original but certainly more fitting with the primetime glam soap era. Members Pine Charles
I would love to read AMC's -- written by Aggie whilst on vacay in Saint Croix (I believe in 1965).
Members LoyaltoAMC
I STILL want to get ahold of Kay Alden's AMC bible LOL! For a while there, this tome took on mythic proportions. Just curious, and would like to a glimpse, just to see how she may have turned this show around.
Members SFK
I'd love to read that too, as well as OLTL's. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll put some stuff up on her site.
Members All My Shadows
I LOVE the original Capitol bible. One of the McCandless brothers was described as having a "no rear end body," and my little voice uses that when I see someone who fits that It's always a bit disheartening to see the ambitious plans writers have when creating these things and how the networks swoop in and cut out all of the daring stuff. Capitol could have given us daytime's first serious gay character.
