February 15, 201115 yr Member Kenneth Mars, 75, a veteran actor whose most memorable performances were his two collaborations with director Mel Brooks in "The Producers" and "Young Frankenstein," died of pancreatic cancer Saturday at his home in Granada Hills. In The Producers he got to say "Not many people know it, but the Fuhrer was a terrific dancer!" I guess his most famous role was as Inspector Kemp in Young Frankenstein http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjjKu5NxFIQ&feature=related
February 15, 201115 yr Member May he rest in peace. I'm glad you posted this, I saw it in the sidebar on TMZ and closed the window before remembering to click. Honestly, I really only knew him for his voice over work, particularly as King Triton in The Little Mermaid and from some Saturday morning Hanna-Barbera stuff in the '80s. I caught him in some sitcom or movie years ago, immediately recognizing that voice. And he "looked like his voice" which is not always the case. Best wishes to his family.
