Careful! >.< i just realized I did the rules wrong anyways....the rule should be a character can't get to 20 points or else they're out. How I missed that I have no idea...carry on, lol. Furthermore, even your edited version should still NOT count since you didn't take away two from another character. Or you could have just easily added THREE instead of two.
