Maybe I'm being cynical because I'm only half way through this first cup of coffee, but it all seems so utterly predictable, right? I guess it's this way every year. Of course Steve Buscemi gets a nom straight out of the gait, meanwhile Idris Elba or Andre Royo never even got a supporting nom for The Wire. Mariska Hargitay, she's solid and she has her little breakdown moments, but the L&O leads have the market cornered on "just the facts ma'am" lifeless line delivery they could do in their sleep. The guest stars are the ones who usually shine. And I adore Betty White, haven't seen HIC yet, but would you all say that nom is deserved for her performance over the other ladies? I mean, I'm not opposed to giving BW Emmy nods on general principle, but just wondering.

I finally gave Modern Family and The Middle a chance, and I must say they are pretty funny. Especially the daughter on The Middle, I hope she got a supporting nod.

SFK-

Hot in Cleveland is a good, funny show. Betty is probably the funniest of the lot. She's really great, and I think her performance definitely deserves the nod.

I would say Betty is the funniest, but Wendy Malick is a close second, with Jane Leeves not too far behind that.

Valerie Burtinelli is...Well, Valerie Burtinelli...
