How absolutely awful, if true.

I just lost a dear dear friend to the disease in May.

I hope if it's true, it happens fast. I watched my friend suffer for well over six months, and I never saw anyone suffer so much in my life.

I will pray for her.

I really hope she pulls through. When I first heard this I thought about how Perez Hilton kept giving her [!@#$%^&*] for cancelling concerts and being a "diva" and all that, and it just goes to show how you never truly know what someone might be going though. Not ALL celebrities put their business out on front street and so many of them these days are such attention whores we've come to expect them all to be and when we don't know the full story we make up our own or accuse them of keeping secrets that we "have a right" ( ) to know. I'll judge a transparent famewhore all day, but a living legend like Queen Aretha deserves nothing but our prayers and positive energy.
