November 20, 201015 yr Member I hope Idol collapses without Simon. Edited November 20, 201015 yr by OLTL_fan
November 20, 201015 yr Author Administrator My poor Fringe. It looks like this will be the last season. Too bad too because this season (and last) is so good. And my poor Community and Vampire Dairies too - now going up against TBBT and Idol. Ouch.
November 20, 201015 yr Member This was a smart move by FOX. Plays to their strengths and shores up some weaknesses. Probably bad news for Fringe though. Even though I think Idol will be down without Simon especially since it's been trending down already, this is going to hurt some of the networks I think. ABC can't be happy, this could but a dent into the momentum of their comedy block and make it even tougher to fill their Thursday 8pm hole. NBC, Chase was already a loser, it's going to get killed going against Idol on Wednesdays. Community and the new Perfect Couples...are so going to get killed. Community's going to have both Idol & TBBT, even with NBC's lower standard's not sure it will live to see a season 3. CBS I don't think will suffer much. Survivor & Criminal Minds are both established shows shouldn't decline that much. Big Bang Theory, it did well against DTWS when it was on Monday's and I think it has a more male skewing Audience, so I think it will do fine, depending on how a Simon-less Idol does and how interesting the contestants are, I hope TBBT puts up a good fight against Idol. And my poor Community and Vampire Dairies too - now going up against TBBT and Idol. Ouch. Atleast Fringe has a lead-in on Friday. I'm worried about Vampire Dairies. I watch Vampire Dairies, TBBT, $#*!, CSI and now Idol on Thursdays.

I wouldn't worry about Vampire Diaries it's the CW's saving grace. Even with Idol it will probably be the network's highest rated show.

And yes, I wouldn't worry about The Vampire Diaries. For now.
November 20, 201015 yr Member Do you think the CW would move The Vampire Diaries if Idol proves too much to handle? What about Tuesdays at 9 in Life Unexpected;s soon to be vacant spot. All in all, I love FOX's mid-season schedule. Moving Idol to Wed/Thurs will help it be a main contender on those nights. I think they just don't want to mess with the Glee/Raising Hope combo. I hope Chicago Code does well, and I think they will keep Lie to Me a summer series. I hope Bones improves with the Idol lead-in, and Breaking In is doomed to fail. Bye Fringe.
