Members sheilaforever
Interesting. Shocked that shows like "30 rock" get much more ad dollar than programs with higher ratings. It probably really comes down to demographics - and a skewing a rich audience (I think it was once said that The Office is having high income viewers across the board)
Administrator Toups Posted October 21, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted October 21, 2010 Yeah, those shows do great with viewers who make $100,000+. The Office is only $8,500 away from Grey's which was pretty surprising. The Office went up this year while Grey's went down.
Members quartermainefan
This is why NBC and CBS will always televise tennis despite it not being the most popular of sports. The demos must be nirvana for the networks judging by all the commercials for American Express and Mercedes Benz you are likely to see. Golf is another great demo magnet. The Simpsons has to be the most profitable show ever.
Members EricMontreal22
Right, it's all demographics. I know Mad Men gets [!@#$%^&*] ratings, yet nearly all their ads are for products like BMW...
