Members Mitch64
I think Wagner was a bit..vinegary...she was no Charita Bauer...I think that is why Nancy, up to Marland was a bit of a pain (and maybe why the Dobson's used to Bert..found it difficult to write for a good grandma that could be imperious at times.) Did she mention how she and Fulton got along? This is at the point they defanged Lisa and introduced Joyce so I wonder if there was resentment that she got to be the sh*t stirrer?
Members Reverend Ruthledge
In Helen Wagner's defense, the one comment Barbara Rodell recounted made me wonder if Barbara was perhaps being too sensitive. The comment that Helen said was that she hopes they kill off Joyce because she hated the character. A comment every fan makes about certain characters they hate. Granted, not the best comment to make around the actor who plays the part and would be out of a job. And Helen was a fellow actor and not just a "fan" of the show. However, it could have been just a comment about the character and nothing personal. Then again, who knows what the other comments were, if any. Barbara hinted that it was about more than just that one comment. I think Mart Hulswit told a story about Charita Bauer not liking the child actor who played Freddy Bauer and making a statement about wishing he'd get killed off. Or something along those lines. Someone with a better memory would have to verify that. I think it was Mart Hulswit's interview with Alan Locher but it could have been someone else's interview. That comment seems even more directed at the actor instead of the character. Mart, or whoever it was, told the story and Alan quickly brushed past it and changed the subject as he is wont to do. I was surprised that Alan let Barbara talk about the backstage feud with Helen so freely. Members Soaplovers
She said she adored Eileen. She said she always made an effort to show Joyce's human side...and not just be purely evil. And she did mention when her character came back in early 1980 that she wished the writers kept the element where Joyce tried to turn over a new leaf...and would sometimes struggle to maintain the changes instead of regressing her character back to her old ways.
Members P.J.
She reminds me of Sandra Smith (she played Dr. Janice Lester on Star Trek: TOS, and apparently was also Julie Conrad Bauer on GL), but I don't think that's her either.

Members Mona Kane Croft
Does anyone remember how and under what circumstances Lucinda Walsh arrived in Oakdale? Did she originally intend to move there permanently? Or did she visit for a while, and decide to stay on? What was her first storyline? And which head writer created the character?
Members P.J.
Lucinda may have had some kind of feud with Whit McColl. Anyway, it was Whit's death that set the Lucinda/Lisa feud in motion. Lisa actually discovered that Martin Guest had illegally adopted Lily, and I think threatened to go public with it.
Members Paul Raven
April 84 I think Tom King/Millee Taggart created Lucinda. Lucinda Walsh, a wealthy friend of Whit's, arrived in town with her secretary, Beverly. John, who was on a job interview, shared a plane ride from Idaho with Lucinda whom he later learned needs an operation for an aneurysm. Lucinda remembered that John had long ago comforted her when her mother was ill.
Members wonderwoman1951
as i recall, that lane ride with john dixon was how lucinda was introduced. i recognized her from ‘the doctors,’ but for the life of me could not remember her name — forever for it to come to me such was life before imdb:)
Members Reverend Ruthledge
I remember Lisa was certain Lucinda had killed Whit and tried to go about proving it. It was actually the first thing I remember from ATWT. The first scene I ever saw of ATWT was Lisa snooping in Lucinda's closet for evidence (if I remember correctly).
Members P.J.
That certainly sounds like Lisa.
Members Mitch64
Lisa WAS sure that Lucy killed Whit, (remember, Lucy blamed Whit for Martins' suicide originally and took over his media empire to see it off bit by bit) but I think the snooping in the closet thing was during Tad Channing murder mystery..I remember her hiding under Lucy's makeup table and just looking very annoyed at Lucinda humming.
