Members Wendy
...of the esophagus. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/100901/entertainment/centertainment_us_douglas?printer=1 I'm stunned and saddened. Stage IV is not good. And he has one of the top three cancers (esophageal, ovarian, pancreatic) that are hard to diagnose, so that may be why he was diagnosed so late. I pray he has a miracle. Members DRW50
He seems to think he'll be OK. I hope he is. I can't imagine what this must be like for his family, and for poor Kirk.

Members SFK
I've had close relatives who've battled throat cancers. One had to have a laryngectomy, the other with cancer of the esophagus had a radical surgery where the esophagus was removed/reconstructed bringing the stomach far up into the chest. I wish him all the best, it is survivable but there may be some serious measures that have to be taken.
