SANTA BARBARA:

After Ric persuades Cruz to let him be an informer, he meets with a possible lead: Tawny Richards. He's intrigued by this wealthy, carefree woman and wonders how she can be involved with drug dealers.

Nikki steals Marco's entire drug shipment- $10 million worth of Ice. Here's the deal, she tells Marcos: she'll trade the Ice for her brother, Amado. Cruz's suspicion of Marcos and Nikki builds as he finds incriminating evidence against them. Michael sets out to exonerate Nikki, but finds a package of ice in her room. She finally admits to Michael her true involvement with Marcos and her plan to save Amado.

STRANGERS IN A METAL WARD:

While Ethan recuperates at home, Hunt arranges for a nurse to take care of him. Nurse Shannon and Ethan find themselves highly attracted to each other and kiss passionately. Meanwhile, Laura discovers Annie's husband isn't dead at all. She makes a deal with Annie: they'll kill each other's husbands. Annie spies Ethan and Shannon throwing out the poisoned tea. Certain that Annie will find another way to kill Ethan, Laura sews the incriminating buttons from her raincoat onto Annie's and makes an entry into Annie's diary, claiming she hated Ethan for hurting Laura.

Augusta comes on to Mack. To Gina's disgust, Mack admits he's attracted to Augusta. Gina sells her first design and plans to set up a concession stand in the diner.

Hunt pursues Kelly, who finds herself more interested than she'll admit. Derek won't approve, Ethan warns Hunt. When Derek discovers Stephen is becoming more obsessive, he destroys the revised script pages Stephen was working on. Slade warns Derek he'll do the film his way.

GHOSTLY PRESENCE:

Frightened by the odd happenings in her home, Julia consults a parapsychologist who alerts her to the cold spots and other ghostly calling cards. Although Mason is concerned Julia's imagination is working overtime, he's a little spooked himself and takes her away for a vacation. They end up in an old Victorian inn where Julia is unnerved by a portrait of the late owner who looks just like Sasha!

DEA Agent Riley tells Cruz that Michael and Nikki are being investigated foe drug trafficking. Castillo can't believe it. After being rescued by Cruz, Amado declares that Marcos plans to kill Nikki. He mentions the name- Kahana- that refers to the drug lord. Meanwhile, Michael and Nikki's passion for each other builds as they wait to meet Marcos. They hide the Ice and leave a surprise for Marcos in the duffel bag- a rattlesnake. Cruz rushes in as they make the trade and there's a shoot out. Taking Michael and Nikki hostage, Marcos is bitten by the snake and dies before telling Michael and Nikki what's in store for them. They're taken to an island where the deranged Kirk Cranston- who tells them he's Kahana- holds them prisoner. Michael fills in Nikki on Kirk's obsession with Eden. Meanwhile, Cruz learns Kirk has escaped from jail again and makes the connection to Kahana.

A GHOST OR SASHA'S SISTER?:

Sasha's sister, Sydney, arrives in town and tells Mason she believes Sasha has disappeared. Still, Julia thinks Sasha's ghost is haunting her, so she seeks the aid of a psychic, who tells a disbelieving Mason and a stunned Julia there is a spirit in the house. But Mason insists the haunting is an evil ruse of the murderer to gaslight her. Julia tells Mason she's had enough of his disbelief and kicks him out of the house. Mason is determined to find the real killer.

MURDER, DRUGS AND BLACKMAIL:

Shannon confides in Ethan that she's the daughter of Frank Pressman, a man convicted of killing a little girl. She knows he's innocent and asks Ethan to help. Meanwhile, Laura tells Annie to drop a radio into Ethan's bath, but Shannon's presence thwarts Annie's attempt at electrocution.

Cruz accuses Ric of enjoying Tawny's company rather than getting info from her. When Ric informs Cruz that he doesn't believe Tawny is a dealer, Cruz warns him not to be taken in by her. Later, Rick finds out Tawny's brother and partner were having problems with a shipment. Is Tawney's family involved in drugs? Ric wonders.

Frustrated with Augusta's continual demands for repayment, Gina is determined to get the goods on Augusta. Later, Gina overhears Augusta worriedly mention Blackie Simpson to Hunt. Bunny learns Blackie scams on rich women who gamble too much. They're going to Las Vegas to see what they can find out about Blackie and Augusta, Gina tells Bunny.

A TWO-WAY STREET:

Kelly asks Hunt about his relationship to Derek. He swears they're only casual acquaintances, then pulls her into a steamy kiss. Because of Hunt's persistence, Kelly is finding herself attracted to him. But Derek orders Hunt not to fall for Kelly and ruin the plan. Hunt tells Derek to back off- Kelly is more likely to open up to him than stuffy Derek. Derek is trying too hard to control them, Hunt insists, and neither he nor Stephen will stand for it.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS:

Before Nikki has a chance to tell Victoria about her new stepdad, the child walks in on Nikki and Jack in bed. Devastated that apparently her parents will not remarry, Victoria tearfully tells her mother that she'll have nothing to do with Jack.

STILL AT IT!:

After a quick peek at Ashley's calendar, Jack learns that his sister and Victor are dining at the Colonnade Room that night. With Nikki on his arm, Jack makes his first public appearance with his wife. The sight of Nikki with his nemesis is more than Victor can bear. After a quick spin around the dance floor with his beloved ex-wife, Victor grabs Ashley and they leave.

LONG-DISTANCE LOVE?:

Lauren implores Scott to consider a plum residency assignment even though it is out of town. Scott refuses to discuss the matter.

BROCK SMELLS A RAT:

Kay believes that God has answered her prayers and sent Brock to her rescue. She's confident that Brock will see through Marge.

When Rex is served with divorce papers, Jill is on hand to lend a shoulder. Brock pays his old pal Jill a visit and is stunned to see Rex installed in her place. The duo explain it's not as it appears- they're just friends. Brock fears history is repeating itself and Jill has stolen another husband from Kay.

BLOND AMBITION:

When Brad pitches Leanna's new television show to Ashley, She leaves him holding the champagne. The ditsy blonde is not one of her favorite people, Ashley gripes. Nevertheless, Leanna receives rave reviews after she tapes her pilot show for Jabot.

TESTING, TESTING...:

Nan learns she can ask the Evanses to have Skylar submit to blood tests because the judge hasn't ruled on the adoption yet. Jeff, however, is more concerned with getting through school than in determining the father of Nan's baby.

Nina confides in Cricket that she feels comfortable with Chase. Of course, she laments, she felt comfortable with David, too. As Nina and Chase are having a rip-roaring time at The Beat double-dating with Cricket and Danny, David lurks in the shadows.

YUK!:

When Nina gets home from her date, David phones, and butters her up. She's impressed that he remembered Little Phillip's upcoming birthday. Tipped off by Cricket and Danny, Chase confronts Nina about her feelings for David. She admits she's confused, but when Chase reveals his desire for something more than friendship, she plants a kiss on her eager lips. Later, David spies on Cricket and Danny.

CAN PAUL STAY AWAY?:

Lauren will stop at nothing to protect Paul from Cassie. She urges her ex to steer clear of the widow. Cassie's bad news, Lauren insists.

Victor reports to Paul that Cassie is in a severe state of depression. He believes Paul is the only one who can pull her through. Once again, Paul finds himself drawn to the helpless woman. However, Cassie rejects Paul's help. She knows she's poison for him and now, since Adrian, she's not worthy of any man. Paul reaches out and the moment leads to a passionate kiss. Fighting to keep his bearings, Paul rushes from the house.

OUT FOR BLOOD:

Nan and Jeff appear on Skip and Carol's doorstep and announce they want blood drawn from the baby. Paternity is an issue now. Carol freaks out and orders them away. After learning from Michael that Nan is within her rights to make such a request, Skip gently breaks it to Carol that it's best to get it over with.

JILL'S ON THE MAKE:

Jill is walking on air when John invites her to the house for a quiet dinner. She floats around the room, admiring all the knick-knacks that grace the place she once called home. She and John reminisce about the wonderful times they shared, as Mamie keeps a watchful eye.

Jack and Ashley interrupt the cozy interlude. Knowing his father had a date planned, Jack assumes Jill is there on business, and tries to hustle her out. John explains that he and Jill shared some wonderful times, and are both in need of companionship.

Jill is amused when Rex displays his jealousy of John. Although she chased after Rex for years, now Jill is keeping him at arms' length.

LOSING HOPE:

Marge does some fancy talking and persuades Brock to accept a spot on the International Hunger Campaign. She and her "son" tell a television audience that Brock is off to Africa. Kay and Esther are heartsick as they watch the broadcast- their hope of rescue dashed.

That takes care of the recaps from this issue. But i still have 7 more magazines to go through! I will post them all asap! But as always thanks again for your patience as i post these!
