SLC

That was another great episode. And I can see why online conversation is turning into bitter RHOA fans vs people loving SLC for being CURRENTLY (emphasis on currently) more consistent. I just hope RHOA brings it once it returns.

All I could think as I watched this episode was...was this the beginning of the downfall of Bob. After having such a good season, she has been slipping a bit the last few episodes with me. And then she not only gave out (too much?) information on her marriage to these women who she can't trust, but she was making bad move after bad move at that dinner that I was siding with Lisa. Again. What is up with her?

Meanwhile...MARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She made it to the cast trip without missing a beat. Real drama. Real friendships. Real...comedy!!! She continued to have a great season.

And then that ending. I was not expecting that at all. There has been so much mileage from the breakdown in the friendship between Angie K and Lisa. And the rift growing between Lisa and Bob. And the rivalry between Meredith and Angie K. But how that all snowballed into a gang-up on Lisa on HER trip...was wild!!!! And dare I say it...when she actually did not storm off (at first) and actually cried...I actually think she was being genuine. For the first time in a long while for me. I almost went awww. Almost.

LISA. She got some recovery points this episode. For every moment where she would be self-absorbed per usual, she would actually have moments that were good. I mean...how dare Bob put her in the middle of her fight with Britini. And Lisa's Confessional after Bob confessed to problems in her marriage was nothing, but facts. She really should have stayed out of the Meredith/Angie K drama, but that came back to bite her on the butt. But good...since that got a genuine moment out of her. I felt like she FINALLY got what Angie K was telling her at the beginning of the season. Of course, she then turned into a victim. But it felt like a genuine moment.

MEREDITH. Smh. Her and Angie K. For every time they get to a good place, they always take a step back. lol. But it was nice to see Angie K helping her. And then Meredith and Angie K trying to rise above it at the dinner. But not to be outdone, her starting to have drama with Britini...well...Meredith always can find a good pivot.

HEATHER. I will give her this little one. I liked her coming to support Bob given their friction. That's about it.

LITTLE GIRL. So messy. Trying to use the friction between Lisa and Bob to her advantage was of course something she would do. RME. She was making it more about Lisa than Lisa was making it about Lisa. lol. And I hollered at her reaction when Mary made her dessert comment. Outside of that, Lisa had every right to drag her. This time.

MARY. I was so happy to see her. And I was also happy...and got into my feelings...seeing her show that she had managed to get her son into rehab before the trip. And the scene with her searching all over for Angie K and talking about how much Angie K meant to her. What a difference a year makes. And Mary will always bring comedic moments. Glad she made it to the vaca.

BOB. I just don't know what she is playing at at the moment. And that's not good for the one who has been, so far, the cast member that has been keeping everyone accountable. And this cast needed one. Perhaps this was a result of Production cutting down on scenes having to do with her personal storyline. That said...I didn't like how she kept picking on Lisa at all. It has gotten to the point they should have a one-on-one. Of course, Lisa would have to be open to listening, but Bob was not helping her cause at all. Throwing Lisa into the middle of her fights. Tagging in with Angie K on her. The only tea she gave was the story of her hubby cheating on her. And one could ask what she herself asked Britini...was she sharing to share or just to get attention on her...or to deflect from a fight with Lisa? Just bad moves.

ANGIE K. MVP. Again...what a difference a year makes. If you had told me, the day would come that Angie K would be gathering ladies with ease, I would have laughed. But she's done it a few times over the last few episodes. And she gave Lisa fair warning this time before she started to gather her. And I WAS LIVING. And I love how she has been there for Mary as Mary deals with real issues. And lest we forget, she has been trying her best to move on from Meredith...and even helped her when she was feeling sick. She even stayed out of (mostly) the game of Telephone Britini pulled on Meredith to be messy.

A great episode. Can't wait for it to come back.

We are doing BEST&WORST this year, right?

Yikes. Slow down, SLC! I'm only on Ep 9 -- the Palm Springs couples trip! OMG, can I tell you how much I am loving think-for-herself Bronwyn and don't-care-if-we're-being-filmed-or-not Todd. First of all, she gave Heather the option to come, but Heather pulled a Kyle and leaned into her favourite emoji: victimhood. And then double-talking Lisa Barlow had to call Heather "Boo-hoo we miss you so much, friend." And Bronwyn wasn't putting up with it, and neither was Todd. I am here for this. I am here for Lisa being called out on her shenanigans. Do I think Lisa Barlow briefed against Whitney? Yes. Do I care? No, because it's Whitney, and she just got her husband involved in a brouhaha with the Barlows and making Brittani cry.

But I do care when it's Bronwyn. Leather (aka Lisa & Heather, aka the Unholy Alliance) thought the newbie would be the weak link this season, and now it is boomeranging against them. Couldn't happen to two more deserving double-dealers. Todd isn't taking any bullsh!t either.

Anyhoo, I'm catching up as fast as I can but unfortunately I also have to pay rent, aka work, and that eats into my SLC viewing time. It is a barn-storming SLC season, perfectly encapsulating why a certain 'Shen Jah' is really not needed to drive this franchise (something Heather has only truly realised belatedly). And Mary is coming into her own on this show, too.

P.S.: Do you think the fight between Meredith & Seth about Seth having to fly to Ohio early was pre-planned or no?

Even after those police videos, Karen Huger is staying booked and busy.

I dont like that. I feel like the show has more juice in it. As good as RHOC was, I was ready for it to be over several epsiodes before the finale. Im not there with SLC

Now look here...lol.

I was just as shocked and tbh annoyed. It's been a shockingly good season. And that's with what they left in and didn't edit out (for ex. if I remember Britini vs Lisa and of course Lisa vs Mary over the kids). I thought we had them for at least five episodes at the most because Bravo usually films the reunion five episodes from the end of the season. So this just feels abrupt to me.

Same. I really have been enjoying it and there does feel like there's still more to come. We still haven't gotten to the Lunch of Lisas where Lisa tries to snatch Little Girl's Lisa wig either. It makes me wonder if they shortened the season or something.

Regardless of how she's been the last few episodes, yes Bob (as me and Third King on Twitter like to call her) has been having one of the best newbie seasons this year (Raquel on NY being another). A great addition, interesting backstory, and can do confrontation. And of course, RICH. I agree though that this season has been a great season...and I never thought it would happen after the great season before. They really don't need the Shah again unless Monica is brought back for extra messy drama. And see yass on Mary. But WAIT. There's MORE.

Yeah, the Palm Springs trip was a good trip. And it made me think of old school RHOA and MARRIED 2 MEDICINE having the husbands involved in the mess. Not that the ladies need them...as the aforementioned SLC Dinner Party from Hell will reveal.

But I look forward to you seeing it for yourself when you get time. Perhaps I'm be onto OC's current season as well. My Housewives withdrawal was been pretty bad. lol.

PS. Honestly...I took it to be genuine re: Meredith/Seth. Perhaps because that has always been their issue. Well, that and Seth seem more in love with her rather than her in love with him. They seem in love again for real now so I figure it was a matter of Meredith being insecure for once.

PPS. Oh, La Dame stay full of surprises. But I don't mind that in terms of BTG cuz it's more exposure for the show. And she still has the reunion to film next week.
