I don't see why someone doesn't think of doing, as you said, a spinoff with say Jack and Carly moving to a new city. In what would probably be the most cost-effective solution ever why not have them move to New York with the kids, and do a daily websoap of 7 or 8 minute episodes which are then edited into an hour long episode shown once a week on a cable channel or something. It doesn't have to look cheap, Gotham and Venice have both shown you can have a good level of production values using digital handheld cameras and real life locations. Setting it New York City would prove ideal. Have Carly take on a job at a fashion PR company whilst Jack joins the NYPD as a detective. Throw their kids into the equation, add a handful of new characters (Carly's demanding, Kelly Cutrone-esque client, and a shady character Jack is investigating, a new love interest for Parker), create a mystery storyline to kick things off, and boom, you've got yourself a nice little treat for ATWT fans whilst opening the show up to a new audience on a network like, as you said, Lifetime. Who knows? Maybe it could stir up interest in the ATWT brand and it could return in some form.

I like the idea. If ATWT doesn't get picked up. I hope some or most of the actors come back in a web soap. That's only if ATWT is not picked up.

No, because obviously people didnt care about Jarlena & Payla! lol. I mean, how else do you explain ratings going up with their exits? lol.

And DAYS is not youth focused, not teen youth focused like The CW would make it. Days has 4 teens who are on around 2 times a week in a minor to supporting storyline.

And days happens to be better now than it has been in over a decade, IMHO.

Fact is, Days got lucky. They got a team of ppl in there who plotted out a good soapy story and it worked out well. It was a fluke.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I LOVE ATWT...and I admit it has become the Synder show and I *like* Jack and Carly, I dont LOVE them and wouldnt watch an entirely new show with them as the focus.. in an entirely new town....it wouldnt be World Turns, so really what would the point be?

I think the show could pair down the cast but not to point of focusing entirely on Carjack. When GL was being cancelled, Hurst had a treatment written up for a paired down GL to possible move to Lifetime or another net. It would focus on the younger generation of the Spauldings and either the Bauers or the Lewis family...i.e.it would focus on say, Phillip, Beth and Rick and their kids, with Bill and Shane being the Lewis family standard bearers. (No Jeva in sight, which would be good, and no Coopers mentioned....why the hell didnt they think of that before the show was shitcanned???) Veteran characters such as Alex/Van and Billy, Ed and Holly were going to return on holidays and wedddings but their stories were tied up, and they were happy offcamera, etc. THAT would still be GL to me. But an ATWT completely divorced of its past would not be ATWT.
