GH: I think its BS that Vaughan was booted out for Jackson

it was bs. it was shady, wrong, and humiliating what abc did to GV.

it was not however JJ's fault. Even if him knowing coming back would result in GV being fired, he still didnt make the choice to bring him back and fire GV.

JJ isnt to blame. ABCD is. They have done this across the board (SS/RB on amc; CC/SH on OLTL <~in a classy way tho, lol; now GV/JJ).

GV is MY Lucky, he is the lucky i fell in love with., For me he made lucky an adult. I now see Lucky as a teen again. I dont like what abc did, but im not gonna blame JJ. Besides, JJ & BH have chem that GV & BH could never have reached.

Can someone tell me what happened exactly? 'Cause I'm out of the loop.

they fired him, hired JJ to replay Lucky, released a press statement saying GV quit to peruse other opportunities and that JJ happened to be available.

GV confirmed he didnt quit, he was fired.

Oh, that much I got. :D

But why did they fire him and why now?

Because he voted for Kris Allen, Sylph. It had nothing to do with Jonathan Jackson's sudden availability.

because JJ said he would come back now. They have been actively trying to get him for years now, but they really started to try hard earlier this year when they knew they were going there with Liz & Nikolas and bringing the Spencer/Cassidne war back. Thats why everything has been so pushed off and whack.

They also tried hard for Vanessa, Brenda was supposed to be connected to this James Franco storyline but it fell through and they casted someone else from what i hear.

Ohhh... I haven't followed at all. Thank you! :)

And by "Spencer/Cassadine war," they mean "Luke's dumb ass screaming at people about how Laura fucked another man, drinking moonshine, getting his Social Security check and ordering Nikolas off his lawn." That's what it's been for years. How is Nikolas some horrific threat, Luke?

Watch me be wrong and the ratings go up big or whatever but I think bringing him back with this Niz story was a mistake. Lucky still seems marginalized, and of everyone still on the show, the main person he had a strong connection with was Becky Herbst. For him to return at a time when Liz clearly prefers Nik, even with the "real Lucky" around, just reinforces that the character, not the actor, is the problem.

And yes, Vee, that really does sum up the Spencer/Cassadine "war". The only reason this story worked for a brief time was because it was fresh (at the time) and because Genie and Stephen Nichols grounded it. I actually thought the Luke/Lucky side dragged the story down. Now they, and a long past his sell by date TC, are all that is left. Where's the excitement?

I wonder if they will kill Spencer to try to make us care.

He can fake his death and go live with Helena.

In fairness, it's been exactly one day. They can't end Niz overnight. I expect Lucky to take control of the storyline pretty soon as the vengeful brother, while Niz swiftly end. And with

Rebecca done and new Cassadines of male and female persuasion alike joining the show I would not be surprised to be TC get cut. I had expected a love labyrinth of Lucky/Liz/Nikolas/Rebecca/Ethan and assorted newbie Cassadines, but with Rebecca out, Ethan is likely to follow.

And that makes things a bit more simple and leaves Nik in the goat slot one way or another - he can't compete with Jonathan Jackson.

I think the relationship will start to fade out but in terms of visuals I think it was a mistake to bring him back at all while the affair was going on. I think they should have had Lucky learn the truth immediately, and they could have Lucky win back a wary Liz and also feud with Nikolas. Or they could have had GV's Lucky leave town because of his doubts, then return with JJ in the role, and learn the truth. To have him come back while Liz is fantasizing about humping Nik on a craps table, or whatever that was, I'm not sure that's the best first impression for fans, especially lapsed fans.

Ah, but that's how they're going to re-define Lucky, I'm assuming. He finds out about Nik and Liz from Luke, leading to

his meltdown and resignation from the PCPD.

But I see your point in terms of timing, I think it's semantics.

In any event I'm sure Lucky will be a mob thug in three months.

They can even show flashbacks of when he used to deliver packages to Jason. For once GH will love their own history.

Given GH's love of the police force, I almost wish they'd just go all the way and have Lucky in Luza's own version of Bad Lieutenant. JJ could pull that off, although it would have to be heavily sanitized for daytime, of course.

I always thought it was OOC for Lucky to become a cop, but I thought GV did the part proud as best he could. I do think that with JJ back especially, Lucky doesn't work as a cop. But that doesn't mean he should become part of Sonny and Jason's male harem, either.

i dont think Niz will end, i think Liz will become torn. Before she was with Lucky ebcause she felt she needed to be and with Nikolas because she wanted to be. I cans ee them adding more as in her wanting to be with Lucky and loving him and being in love with him but lusting after Nik and falling in love with him.
