I will die and return from the dead and die again if this is true!

According to the latest Daytime Confidential podcast, rumor has it that Kelly Rips is considering a short term return to All My Children before the show ships to LA.

That would be cute, I'd like that. But does Mark have to come too? :P

This brings up a question for me, does AMC plan to do anything subtle yet special to mark its move from NYC? I wasn't counting on it, would probably be too jarring/hard to work in, but it is the end of an era. I know they haven't been in the same spot since 1970, nevertheless, a lot of memories were made in that studio.

I'm not sure why I wrote "Another" in the title when I haven't heard of other people coming back.

Anyway, maybe she'll tape some scenes for the show's 40th Anniversary. They're done taping first week in December and won't start taping again until late January from what I've read so it would make sense that she's coming back for this milestone.

I have never understood why AMC never brought Kelly Ripa for brief visits or story arcs. She has always been willing to come back, she's already an employee of the network...what was the problem?

If she appears on AMC it will probably be as herself in some tongue-in-cheek cameo. Pratt can't be bothered researching Hayley and writing any substantive material for her.
