Reading the recaps is like watching an accident in slow motion, and not being able to stop it. No, the Clone and FauxAnnie aren't the worst stories ever, but they just signal the progression that's coming.

This is really the point that Blake/Ross should've ended. Ben ruined them. Blake thinking Ross would return home and immediately sleep with her was just stupid. And then she expects Ben to help her with the custody thing. Both men should've told her to ***off.

The scene where Ross runs into the house and opens fire at the sight of Ben and Blake is one of those moments where internally I knew something was going wrong with the show (again), but I just went along for the ride. I agree this should have been the end of Blake and Ross. They only reunited as a default pairing, although the show does keep them split for a little longer than I had expected at the time.

So Kim Zimmer had beef with Michelle Forbes, Cynthia Watros, Signy Coleman. I can't remember if there was beef with Maeve Kinkead and/or Beverlee McKinsey.

Did she and Crystal Chappell get along? It seemed she mostly disliked the actresses who were the third wheel in her love storylines.

That I wouldn't know. I haven't read KZ book.

The beef with Michelle Forbes and Cynthia Watros were reported in soap press I believe and they've been discussed in this thread.

From what I've seen just at a quick skim, Crystal has praised her as an actress and when Kim guested on Venice, Kim praised her.

I think they need to figure out what to do with Millennium though. They have this big new set, but why is Ross conducting business meetings and why are some people now meeting there for dinner... it's a nightclub, let it be that. They don't need to make the older adults go just to be in a new spot.

Where did Drew get the money for it?When you build a set that big, it costs a lot of money, not just to create it but putting it up and taking it down each time it is used...so they need to show all the characters using it. Which is why is was stupid to have all the young character talk about it being "Their" place...hold on to your hat, cause they are going to have Thanksgiving there! But its going to disappear as fast as ti came.

I wanted Nola to build a club or just take over the Towers Club, and to it very Artdeco like an MGM musical...the wait staff dressed in retro clothes along with Nola. A running joke would be Nola forcing people to watch a song and dance performance "I'll only go if it past the time Nola sings!"

I think she was especially galled that once again, the story isn't about Reva, it's about Annie as it was during Watros time. Reva becomes a plot point and had no internal life or sparks things on he rown as she did pre resurrection. Reva is a plot point, and that really must have p*ssed Kimmer off. But she and RN have no one to blame but themselves as they insisted on being on almost everyday and when it was time for them to move on to being the B story for a bit. I have no doubt San Crud was meant to make her happy..two men chasing after Reva...and a whole set of new characters created just for her. But then Rassie hit and Kimmer was back with Jarsh.

I love the Signy mentions the scene with Marj..they are both great there, and Marj finally gets a scene that works for her Alex (harder, louder then BevAlex...) Again, this woudl have worked better if Signy was just some nut sent to cause havoc for Annie..cause Signy does make a good "nut" as she says.

Yeah, it is odd they never resolved the story about her missing child. I do remember that she was very jealous of someone Mike was involved with (maybe Jackie?) and she got her on tape saying something not flattering. At the last minute she decided not to give it to Mike, admitting to herself he was never going to love her. For a hot minute it looked like they were going to turn her into an obsessed spurned potential lover, but they chickened out, I guess. Then she just basically suffered in the background. And they did have the odd "frienemy" relationship between her and Diane. Eventually they replaced her with Lainie as Mike's assistant...who also kind of faded away.

It may have been Jackie. There is tension between Jackie and Ann when there are scenes of them together in the 1979 episodes. There is also a photo I posted at one point from about 1977 of Jackie, Mike, and Ann. Ann is looking disapprovingly at Jackie.

It would have been interesting if Ann had hooked up with Ross in 1979. Ann would be torn between her loyalty to Mike and her budding relationship with Ross. Ross would probably have used her to spy on Mike during the rape trial.

I totally agree re: Blake/Ross. Both men did essentially tell her to F off haha, but my guess is Ben will cave again and try to take care of her. We'll see, but yeah this story has officially gone too long for me.

It seems like (hopefully) Kim got over whatever it was about Cynthia Watros, because it was really nice to see Kim cheer loudly for her when winning the Emmy. I think Cynthia even thanked Kim in her speech, and if someone wasn't treating me well and I had already left the show (like Watros did by then), I wouldn't be saying her name in my speech haha.

Her dad died, so she got all his money (he was a 'famous' music producer).
