^^^No, but not like this show cares about deeply exploring any family dynamics and complex relationships between people anymore.

Neither Jill, nor her real sons are coming off any good in this story, yet Cane is absolved of all wrongdoing and we're supposed to beleive he's the best guy ever made and can be forgiven for his part in this impostor storyline in just two weeks! Whereas, Jill's already told Phillip she can't forgive him as of yet for what he's done.

But, we all know this story should have never been done and is a complete disaster, and now everyone has some damage left over from it that will linger for a long time.

Word to all of the above!

Like seriously, Jill can't forgive her two sons, yet she welcome's Cane in with open arms, like WTF? This whole show is becoming nothing but total bull sh!t!

I can see why she wouldn't be able to forgive Phillip. Cane is a different story to her because she has much less of a problematic history with him. He came to town because he wanted a family and he was family to her. He didn't fake his own death to get away from her. But then, she seemed forgiving of Phillip not long ago. The motivations in this story are all over the place.

As for Billy, I think he's much angrier at her than she is at him. Even if she did everything he wanted, he still would be angry with her, because that's his crutch.

Jill is not important to the show. She is used only to make us feel bad for other characters. I hope no one will let this show's awful writing negatively impact their view of her.

Have her sons done anything to fix their relationship with her or do they just tell her what a bad mother she is and whine?

They don't whine.

They state the truth.

Jill IS a bad mother & instead of dealing with that SHE whines & coddles a stranger.

But Cane was the main and willing participant of a scheme that was used to make Jill believe that her real son was in fact alive and a completely other person.

Cane willingly covered up Phillip III's lies.

They both deserve equal blame for this scheme and how Jill would forgive an impostor, regardless if he's become family to her or not, this fast is alarming. Especially when she's as horrible to her real sons as they are to her.

She's all lovey dovy with Cane after he hurt her, yet she's hardly welcoming to her real sons. Not to mention, this reveal only happened a few weeks ago.

Cane was actually decent for one second when the rest of the show was so bad, but here we go again, he's already convinced the whole world likes him.

I hate the writers for prolonging the worst couple on the show, propping the stupid impostor and so many other things...

Pretty much.

I think it's because she had a good relationship with Cane before the reveal. If she'd had a bad relationship with him I think she'd be less forgiving.

Phillip didn't want a relationship with her, and Billy barely tolerates her most of the time, so she doesn't see them the same way.

I would think Jill would realize that the relationship she had with Cane was based on a huge lie. He might have had genuine feelings for her, but to lie to a lonely woman that you're her real son is pretty cruel and disgusting. I don't think most people would be forgiving of this, especially two weeks after the impostor was exposed.

Jill doesn't seem like the type that would get over something that big this fast.

But then again, the charater writing on this show is just atrocious.

That's the point.

She only had a good relationship with him cause he was a stranger.

If she'd had a bad relationship with him I think she'd be less forgiving.

Which they wouldn't cause all he ever did was validate her & tell her what she wanted to hear.

Phillip didn't want a relationship with her, and Billy barely tolerates her most of the time, so she doesn't see them the same way.

Both her sons love her & want relationships with her.

What NEITHER of them want is her forcing them to be the way SHE wants them to be.

I can understand the points made about Jill being more forgiving toward Cane before Phillip III and Billy, but enough is enough.

This is not Jill. In no way shape or form is this Jill. The woman's been played not only by Cane but by her own son who she thought was dead. We all know what happens when someone makes a fool out of Jill Foster Abbott, she gets nuts, she gets in their face and she will put them right back in their place. Yet, this is not happening. No, Jill should not be forgiving toward Phillip III, she should be on a rampage, every day telling him how terrible he is for what he's done to her, Nina and Phillip IV. She should be reminding him every day that regardless of her failures as a mother, she didn't just abandon her whole family. Jill did fight for Phillip, Jill fought for everything she has. She's a fighter and now she's being portrayed as a fool. She should be forcing Cane back to Australia. Hell, I'm surprised she didn't drive him to the airport and tell him how terrible he is for lying and deceiving her. As for Billy, he and Jill need to work that out.

Another thing that bothers me (aside from bringing Phillip III back from the dead) is Katherine forgiving Cane too. Like WTF? Her of all people, the man manipulated her, lied to her, made her believe she switched Jill's baby and all she can do now is shower him with kisses?

What's sad is that, Kay and Jill are looking like fools.

What happened to this Jill? The Jill who could take on even The Great Victor Newman!!!

Exactly!

If ANYONE can hold a grudge it's Jill.

Now she's all of the sudden so forgiving of a mumbled mouth con artist that shamlessly impersonated her believed to be dead son for YEARS?

But Jill wouldn't be more forgiving of Cane.

Ever.

Jill's relationships with her sons have ALWAYS been a sore spot for her but it would be a cold day in hell before she would forgive CANE before them.

Jill is so completely broken now that I think she just clings to the one uncomplicated relationship she had. Cane has always been there for her since they met, and I feel like, if she did see him as deceiving her, she would lose the last link to anything keeping her going. I think she knows Katherine, Billy, and Phillip are never going to accept her because it's easier for them to see the worst of her, due to their history. She's lost her job and her money. She's lost her identity. She has nothing. For this reason I can see why she still supports Cane.

It's not a Jill I want to see, because the last thing I want to see on the show is another woman worn down to the nubs, but I can understand where she's coming from.

I've really enjoyed this conversation, I feel like there's more thought about Jill here than in the writing. I can see what you're all saying about what she would do with regards to Cane.

I agree with you, but what I meant by this was through the way they are writing her which is out of character. If they were writing Jill the way she's supposed to be written then none of it would make any sense. Actually, none of what's going on makes any sense.

Jill's relationships with her sons have ALWAYS been a sore spot for her but it would be a cold day in hell before she would forgive CANE before them.

Exactly and that's why I think Jill should be the one right now with a cold shoulder toward Phillip, no remorse or sympathy for Cane and his childhood and she should actually be working to repair what's broken with Billy.
